  1. That's all fine and dandy for someone who is normal size, but wth do I go to find these so-called "shorter people"? Grade school? Still it has to be 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade at most, and chances are, even at those ages, their shoe size is still larger than mine.
  2. I see...are they on diets?
  3. Lol...oh no, Karma fraud! Turtle, chocolate is yummy, and I'm sure that they will appreciate it. It's all good, don't worry!
  4. Maybe try to get her back as you walk by her, and if you aren't up to the smelly task, then find someone to do it for you!
  5. Also, I'm wondering how the hell he would know about that...
  6. Hmmm...I just looked at his first post. He began jumping in August 2004 and has 45 jumps. Not too bad...you have to start somewhere, right? He is a NEWBIE, but he IS a skydiver, isn't he? Edited: Ahhh...nevermind...opposing teams, I presume!
  7. NOOOO!!!! I am to blame...sorry!!!
  8. I didn't know that women in the Midwest didn't fart! Ha! Everyone is different, and some people seem to do that more than others. Using the restroom more frequently and eating/drinking certain things and not others solves any of those problems. If it makes you feel better, many women AND MEN, don't feel the need to do that in front of...well, anyone. However, it doesn't bother me if someone happens to fart or burp around me, since it's normal for people to have to relieve themselves of gas every now and then. Who cares, as long as it's not invading your personal space somehow, and if it is, you can always walk or run away. For the record, it was extremely rude of this lady to let a huge fart rip like that right next to you, specifically, but it would have been just as rude, if the person had been a male. However, if it was a friend trying to screw with you, then that would have been funny, yet annoying.
  9. I have to admit that I am dying of laughter at your thread. This woman does NOT like you. It sounds (lmao) like she did this on purpose because I find it damned near impossible that she would just let something that foul casually slip out! That is why this story is so freaking amusing...she did it to get you to look away from her as she was working out! Ha! Also, if you find it NASTY that a woman did it, don't you think that women find it equally NASTY when men do that kind of thing? Have YOU ever done that?
  10. Ahhh...that's right. Actually, the chocolate doesn't taste very good at all, Turtle. Yuck!!! I think a nice salad sounds really YUMMY, perhaps with a rasberry vinagrette dressing!!! Mmmm...
  11. Yeah Denise!!! Happy, happy belated birthday, my beautiful friend. I am so excited to be seeing you very soon. We will have sooo much fun in Sebastian, girlie!
  12. I am eating chocolate, and I would share it if you were closer. It's always fun to share chocolate with friends...they get so excited!
  13. See? Someone else is like me. I mentioned all my special shower stuff a few posts up. I have shower shelves to hold all my stuff.
  14. The weather has been up and down, hasn't it? I'll be sure to pack for anything, both warm and cold layers! (Btw, I am just getting to your PM, Andrea.
  15. Ed and Mark, thank you both for the compliments. I had thought that I was a bit rusty and am just happy to finally be flying, again. Catch you two either at the DZ or tunnel...
  16. I adore writing! Even if you never submit the screen play, it's still great that you are using writing as an outlet for your creative needs. Well, I have to log off now, but have a fun night, my friend!
  17. Yeah, why not post now? So, what's new, Yoshi? Paint any more awesome paintings, lately?
  18. Oh my goodness, I can hardly wait to hear and see all that! It sounds like it will be quite the show, indeed...HOW COOL!
  19. Hey Heidi! Actually, you had posted in your tunnel thread that you were going to Orlando those dates. Did you change plans? Also, PLEASE be careful about accepting a ride from someone online, unless it's from a friend who you know personally or who others can vouch for. Just because the person is a DZ.commer doesn't mean that he/she is "safe". Be careful! Unfortunately, I will not be in San Diego much at all until August, now that my BF is overseas, or I would help you out. The weekend that you will be here, Billvon and Amy, who are both extremely trustworthy San Diego DZ.commers and jump at Perris, will be in Las Vegas, as will I and several other DZ.commers. Good luck with your ride situation and have fun in the tunnel!
  20. Hi Ed! They (tunnel operators) don't crank up the air speed when it's cold. The colder air outside makes the air in the tunnel move faster. Also, if you are cold, then you need to put on warmer inside layers, gloves, etc. in the tunnel. I am one of the most naturally cold people that I know, and I am not cold when FLYING in the tunnel when I wear the proper layers under my suit. (Even my hands were bare, and I was fine.) It's only when waiting to fly that I get cold. However, if you are moving quickly and flying hard, then you should be focused on flying, not on how cold that it is when flying. Neck warmers are the BEST for keeping warm and not tensing up back/neck muscles, thus dearching. Since I was in the tunnel when you were in the tunnel on Thursday, I have to say that it's been MUCH colder and MUCH faster (Ahhh!!!) in the tunnel on other occasions. I felt that the air and our flying was actually a little slower than other times that I have been in there. (I was flying a little flatter than usual.) If you are thinking that this was fast, then you need to wear weights for sure. I highly recommend them if you are struggling. As you know, I wear them regularly now and don't have a problem flying faster or slower with others. Also, it's awesome flying hard and fast. It feels like so much more of a challenge when the air is cranked! I LOVE IT!!! As to how much to wear? Personally, I began to wear 6-8 lbs, and I now wear about 12-14 lbs. in the tunnel, usually 12 in the sky. Of course, I weigh under 100 lbs. Maybe you can begin with 6-8 lbs. Take in a weight belt with that amount and extra weights. See what feels most comfortable for you. Mel, Lou, Marie, John, Erin or whomever is coaching you should be able to help you some more with that. Actually, talk with Marie about Bryan's custom-made belts. Unfortunately, I didn't catch your flying this time, except for a short while when you were doing fall rate drills, because we were going over our sessions while you were flying. I know how much of a perfectionist that you are, so just know that you are doing a great job by working on skills in the tunnel and in Mel's camps. (I, myself, felt rusty because I haven't been flying much, but the short tunnel session was good to get back in the swing of things.) I do hope that we can fly together soon, either in the sky or tunnel. If you come out to Vegas with Amy and the rest of us, then we can all jump at Mesquite this weekend! (Please tell Amy to PM me later tonight or tomorrow. See ya!
  21. We had a BLAST!!!! I will write about it later... THESE were our rules. Pretty amazing jumpers from both Perris and Elsinore were competing in this comp! It was AWESOME FUN!!!
  22. In the past, when I haven't flown for a while, then flown in the tunnel, sometimes the muscles from my bum/butt to my upper, outer thighs have become sore. Also, sometimes, the muscles from my chest (outside, close to armpits) to my inside of upper arms hurt. My leg (backs of thighs) muscles feel sore if I am focusing a lot on leg work. Not stretching before doing a whole lot of outfacing moves, can even lead to a sore/stiff neck. Honestly, the soreness is not too bad at all if you remember to stretch really well before and after your flying sessions. Sadly, I don't do any exercise...other than when I am flying. Yet, even after months and months of not flying, I can usually handle a short session just fine. Tunnel camps can be strenuous, but your body will quickly acclimate, and you will be able to handle more as you go on. When flying for long periods, your arch may suffer after a while, but the lead belt helps a great deal. Of course, I am just speaking from my own experiences with soreness from being in the tunnel, but I have found that it doesn't mean that you or I are out of shape. Other people seem to get sore, as well, more or less depending on how much they regularly fly. Good luck!
  23. Gee Clay I thought you liked that sort of thing... with lanolin and all I just noticed that Clay wrote "comeing"...so was that a typo or what?
