Cry and grieve because you really need to do that for a while, sweetie. It's ok if you are very, very sad, just remember that we are here for you. If you need a friend or anything, please call one of us up. I am not home right now, but if you need anything...I can call or PM you. Please know that we are all thinking about you and wishing that we could help. Just tell us how.

Holy crap!!! How many PM's have you sent/received?!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Ugh...PMs! Love getting them, yet find them difficult to keep up with! I finally had to begin deleting them frequently. I have had almost 3364 received aka SENT to me from Nov. 30th 2004 until now Jan. 13th 2005, about 6 weeks later. You can only imagine how many I have received in total since May 2003, when I first began posting after getting my "A" license. This is why it takes me so long to get back to people, sometimes. Help... I have only sent 7561 PMs since I first began posting in May 2003. Whoops...I think that I may need to catch up on my correspondence... -
Wow ~ DZDiva, you have sooo many admirers! Have a wonderful time, sweetie!

Okay, no men in thongs. (You can both relax, Dave and Turtle.) Does that mean that Adam's out then?
-
But That makes three of us who wear them.. what about you there big boy Ok, I just caught that. Jeannie cracks me up! I guess that we all saw Adam in his thong, so he can't protest.

This thread reminded me of you, Val! For me, the number is very, very low because I have not been single most of the time that I've been skydiving. Then, I realized that I had to change my vote to add one more because I almost forgot about Katiebear. She was the best of all skydivers that have kissed me, too, and, yes, it was close-mouthed!

There's this company called Wicked Weasel...

Instead of spending all their money on stickers that they plaster on the side of their cars and spoilers that serve absolutely no purpose perhaps they could sign up for an english as a second language course. What a silly stereotype. I hate stickers. Btw, I learned english when I was a little baby/toddler from watching educational television shows, such as Sesame Street, The Electric Company and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. When I went to pre-school at age 2 and 1/2, I was able to speak it better than most of the other toddlers. Same for my brother. That said...everyone is different, and I cannot imagine that it is easy for everyone learning a new language. I was quite young when I first began to listen to the english language, so I was able to learn both languages fluently. My parents who came over in their early thirties have taken all sorts of ESL classes, but their first language (of preference) will always be spanish. This doesn't mean that they do not speak english, but this means that they "think" in spanish. Personally, my language of preference is actually english. I "think" in english, so I always prefer to read and write in english. Does that make sense? It also used to bother me to hear "for spanish, please press 1", but it doesn't now. I have realized that this doesn't mean that all the people who use that option don't know how to or cannot speak english. It only means that they feel more comfortable when speaking in that language, as I would feel more comfortable when speaking in or reading or listening in english.

Excellent post. Agreed for both people coming to North America, and agreed with people who go from North America to other countries to live.

I completely agree with this statement. It's quite interesting.

It sounds like they're scared of US "foreigners", Darius. I speak english and spanish fluently (and can follow italian and portuguese), and it has only ever helped me within many parts of both my personal and professional life. I think that only wanting to speak one language is quite limiting, but if that is what someone wants to do, that is none of my concern. Personally, I feel that it is best to try to expand one's mind and be open to differing cultures. I find everyone's differences so interesting and feel that I can learn something from any culture. Also, once upon a time, most everyone's ancestors were considered "foreigners". Think of how they must have been treated back when they first went to their new homes. Why continue with the same mistakes of making the newer ethnic groups feel unwanted or unaccepted?

Hmmm...I think that Amazon and I could make a good team. I have no idea who would be on an opposing team, though.

Awww...thank you, Bill! That was sweet. When ro.is.cute first began to post, I was creeped out because myself and many others were concerned that perhaps the "ro" he was referring to was myself. Some people were pretty convincing when telling me their theories...yikes! Hopefully, this person was just referring to himself, according to his first post in Intros (I think!) I wasn't trying to be egocentric or anything, but I am just glad that he was talking about himself. P.S. Thank you, both Bill & Mike!

He seems "overly concerned" with others, especially the skydivers (according to this thread) and "Yankees" (according to his locked thread in Bonfire) on this website.

I don't really watch TV, but I will definitely watch for YOU on this show! How cool!!!! I am so happy for you, Laurel, plus your husband gets some tunnel time! Wow, you must be so !!! You MUST post pictures, girlie. I'm sure that it will look amazing...don't be worried, girl. Congrats, again!

Scott (LouD) has a great post for recommendations. I am Peruvian, not from Chile, but Pisco Sour is popular in both Chile and Peru. I highly recommend this cocktail, but be careful. This alcoholic drink may be more potent than you may initially think. Have fun, Kate! Edited because my mind drifted, and I was thinking directly about Chile and Peru when typing, not Ecuador. Perhaps you can try this drink, anyway.

Awww...look at what you wrote. You are such a sweetheart, Kramer. I wasn't in Eloy (obviously), but looking through all the pictures is so much fun. You always have such great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

After the obvious speeding and tailgating in the rain, nothing bugs me as much about other drivers who can't understand that their car is nearly invisible. The headlights aren't just there for them to see better! Yup, that is the visibility I was talking about. Completely agree. It's common sense to have headlights on if windshield wipers are in use, plus it's too dangerous to have it any other way. Too many accidents occur in the rain...

Oh Alli, this is just like a Playboy party! I have been invited to and attended New Year's at Hef's mansion, but I never really was much into the dressing up in lingerie in public stuff (too shy/reserved), not back then nor now. However, I may wear some wings. Hope that's good enough, girlie! -
So happy for you, Paige!!!!

Me and BOB Yeah - That's right BOB - I'm Callin' You OUT! Ekkk! (Sorry for taking so long...I wasn't logged on.) Why not...let me at him!!!

I just realized "Beyond VANILLA" and "VANILLAskygirl"... Hmm, maybe it has something to do with Rosa! Lol...silly! Well, I am in San Diego until Tuesday, since this is the last week that I have to share with Spencer before he goes to Iraq. I will probably be wanting to get together after he leaves, though. I'd love to hit some exhibits or movies or something. Remi ~ I'm not sure what you mean, but that sound's gross!
