  1. Wow...so many wonderful birthdays. Happy Birthday to you, as well, John!
  2. Wow, you're so young. I didn't know you were that young.
  3. Happy Birthday, Ms. Kitty! Enjoy your special day, sweet girl!
  4. Mar, I've already paid for one of the calendars, but I didn't buy it from anyone in California. (I had decided to buy one from a friend on the opposite coast a while ago.) I'll get mine soon.
  5. Doesn't it feel good when you can actually reach the slider? (Btw, I can totally relate.)
  6. Of course...she sounds wonderful.
  7. Hey Gia, this would have been good to place in the Events and Places to Jump section. Btw, what kind of fundraising is being done for this? Is the money donated coming from jump tickets, raffles or what? As you know, I'm taking my hiatus from jumping, but I would like to actually visit the DZ for a little while, instead of just donating money on the phone. (Btw, are our King Tut exhibition tickets for Sunday?) See you soon, Gia, and thank you for posting this information. Miss you!
  8. ah that explains nearly everything...... Yea, that says it all. Ironically, I wrote the Catholic schoolgirl part specifically to make it catch Zenister's eye. I know his views on religion (many of which I actually completely agree with) from prior posts after what he wrote about self-esteem issues. I thought that he would understand the dreaded "Catholic schoolchildren" mentality. I knew that statement would put things into perspective; however, the low self-esteem issue was right on the money, more so than the religious school issue. Anyway, I have to say that although I believe in and practice absolutely no religion and haven't for much of my life, blaming religion for anything in one's past is ridiculous. There are still some wonderful benefits that religions have to offer some people. Obviously, to have contempt for or to think oneself superior to someone who practices a religion is much more judgemental and arrogant, than not. I try to not be that way and to be open-minded to religious people as well as non-religious, as long as nobody is trying to convert me.
  9. I kept thinking about that same exact line during this whole thread. (Remember what George did, instead? That was a great episode!) JohnMitchell, thank you for making me LMAO!
  10. Hey Brad, I've been sick for the last couple of weeks, so I haven't been in the tunnel at all. Paige is right, our Pink Mafia Tunnel Sister organization is very much a baby organization that is developing into something very special. Like flying, we are always evolving and expanding our focus. Our organization is a way for female tunnel flyers to connect with each other and also a place where we can honor some of the women in this new sport. Personally, I always have female mentors that I look up to, like my past coaches Eliana (Airspeed), Juliana Se, Melanie Curtis, Erin Murphy, Christy Frikken, etc. Every one of these ladies has in her own way done much for women flyers, whether it be on a widescale or local level. They have each specifically helped my own self-esteem with their encouragement of myself or by myself watching their flying abilities. The support from fellow lady flyers has been tremendous, via not just their tunnel flying coaching, but from their pep talks, e-mails, PMs, friendship, etc. Also, watching someone who flies so well is an inspiration within itself. That is how I see these ladies...as our "Inspirational Sisters" in flight. I want to share the incredible encouragements that I have felt from other female flyers with other ladies and to remind them that even if we will never be record holders or just fly for fun, it's always good to have and to give encouragement/support within our sport, especially when flying with some of those huge guys. It's nice to see that women can still hold our own in there. I have yet to initiate sisters at Perris' tunnel, but my Barbie and myself are going to be getting into the tunnel really soon. (Kris has OKed PMTS initiations, since the Barbie will be strapped to me.) I spoke to Christy Frikken, yesterday, and she has agreed to be my first interview (a new feature of the PMTS, that I will be doing monthly) and my first initiated sister in the Perris tunnel! We are working on scheduling a time and also on a date to initiate more ladies. Returning to the PMTS organization, I am happy to say that there are many new and exciting features, that we are working on for our organization and website. We are going to be adding more history of early tunnel flyers, fousing on our female tunnel flying pioneers, as well as focusing on women whose modern flying we admire now via interviews, biographies, new written segments, etc. Tunnel flying is such a new sport, that we really want to educate our sisters as to how it began, and how we can all become better as tunnel flyers. (That is my focus...education and hopefully better flying skills!) We will even be encouraging tunnel or flying questions or discussions to be discussed on our website. The PMTS are working on some major changes with our site, so you should check back weekly. Brad, please feel free to give us any suggestions as to what you feel could enhance our organization. You can also tell me in person if you have any ideas that would help the PMTS. See you soon!
  11. Gosh, it's nice to know that everyone is saying such nice things about the calendar and the ladies! (I am really looking forward to getting mine. Woohoo!
  12. Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Many prayers for JmpnKramer...and wishing him the best recovery possible.
  13. That's so wrong. Is this why the thread came up? I have no idea what to tell you, Kitty girl. Trust me, I completely understand For the record, I was only referring to myself, when I wrote my post. I felt like too many people on this thread kept addressing me. They are people whom I don't know, or they would know better than to do that regarding this issue. I wanted to write something in defense of the women, since so many people seem to believe that women want to "flaunt it" when their nipples show. WTFH? I'm with Betsy, let's get some tees made...
  14. Look at Santa's face! He seems like he's really enjoying himself... Oh...very good movie!
  15. Oh my gosh, Dom...that's so damned cute. So, what did you wish for that year? Do you remember?
  16. If you can consider not knowing what Tom Cruise said about Brook Sheilds "ignorance" that strikes me as pretty ignorant. I thought exactly the same thing as you Angela. I wouldn't call being oblivious to the latest celebrity gossip "ignorance". Missing world news is a better example of ignorance. Edited: For the record, I'm not calling anyone here "ignorant".
  17. I haven't watched any television for a couple of years, myself. I feel the same way about missing a lot, and it feels good.
  18. Ok, that DOES sound awful. Yikes!
  19. Whoa, that is the opposite of what I think. How can it be "too hot" once you get out of the plane? It's often much hotter than that out this way, and I prefer when it's too HOT as opposed to too cold because I tend to get cold easily. I feel that it's never "too hot" when you sit next to that door...at least, not for me.
  20. [fake sympathetic voice] Poor baby! [/fake sympathetic voice]
  21. ....but did she win?! Erin was tunnel flying while drunk? Goodness, wth is happening to my world? Yet, the Tunnel League scores show that Erin won, as usual. (Phew...all chaos is restored!) Btw, those are some interesting pictures from the "Poker Meet". (Some of which could be called "evidence"...) There were many breasts aflashing, and Mel was dressed in some kind of disguise. I even even saw pictures of Dom drinking alcohol. Must have been a boring weekend...
  22. You have to go Pee or See? Hmmm...
