    How was everyone's safety day last week?!!? Did you have as good of a time as we did? Here are some pictures of our safety day - ifallfast is hanging people in the harness - that's me doing the rigging section with the Blue racer, and some pictures from Safety day...     consider yourself lucky because your girl has at least a tiny bit of interest in you jumping!!! I guess it's good and bad - depends on the relationship....Personally, if a girl came with me to a boogie - it would be more stress than it's worth. =========Shaun ==========

    I support the death penalty. I think that we need to send a strong message that there are crimes which are beyond unacceptable. We have a decent system of appeals set up to hopefully protect the innocent - but IMHO, once sentenced and the last appeal is gone, just drag em out and shoot them. Simple. =========Shaun ==========

    0:2:0 I had a really good weekend - On saturday - I made 2 jumps - I took one student up for his second 10 second delay, and then I did one fun jump which turned out to be a 3-way RW where we turned some 10 points or so. It was a lot of fun. It was Also Safety Day - and myself and another Rigger taught the gear session - we did 3 little presentations where we had 5-10 jumpers bring their gear over and we showed them how to do a little more indepth gear check. I left the DZ a few hours early because a friend and I took off for a rock & Gem show in Kansas City - It's her hobby - and it was fun for me too. =========Shaun ==========

    If i Know skydivers - it wouldn't be long until you could find someone at the DZ to take ya out there if they live close to you.

    I'm no expert, but rape of any sort leaves a woman with emotional wounds so deep they take years to just heal over - Those I know personally who have experienced a rape still seek professional counseling years and years after the incident, and the damage done is almost visible. I think that a judge could sentence the victim to 90 lashings is barbaric- and IMHO, the problem seems to be that for whatever reason (probably religious) these people still can't get it through their minds that women are human beings and not objects. If this incident is reflective of what the Saudi's stand for, I hope the entire country goes to hell - =========Shaun ==========

    I agree with Phreezone on this one - and I think we need to be looking at this issue from a DZO's standpoint. Look at this - from almost ANY perspective, the problem is centered around the fact that this TM had some THC in his blood - Hypothetically, a freak accident could have killed them, but that fact is hidden by resounding noise of a positive drug test postmortem. Prudish as it sounds, those who abuse these kind of drugs are IMHO, not the greatest decision makers and not people I would want around. Given the facts, frankly I'm surprised any of you can have any degree of tolerance for this at all!! I am not a DZO, but I can tell you that if I knew instructional staff was having issues with abusing illegal substances, I would bring it to the attention of the S&TA posthaste. =========Shaun ==========

    Ya know - I just made it pretty clear when I got into a relationship that Saturday was when I helped out at the DZ and it was something I really enjoyed. I think you need to get started off right to avoid any problems like that in the future. =========Shaun ==========

    I was out there ALL day saturday, and I made 2 jumps, test-jumping our new student Rigs in high wind..... I don't jump on sundays - but today we flew 17 loads in our little C-182W - and I wasn't on any of them.... I went out to introduce a girl to the gang - but no jumpin. I'm getting sick of beautiful weather on the days I can't jump... So my numbers are 0:2:0 =========Shaun ==========

    Yes my friend, Girls do suck. 2 days ago I would have disagreed, but 'issues' have come about to make me think that girls suck.... Or at least the ones I'm dating. In about an hour or so I'll know for sure - until then.... =========Shaun ==========

    A kid that age isn't going to have the decision-making skills or even the knowledge of how to keep your health. I see this as the mothers fault. If the kid were in his teens or later - than he should know better. I don't think the kid should be taken from his mother, that might cause even more problems then him being a fatty in the first place. =========Shaun ==========
