    I watched him land the 39 at WFFC (2005, I think), I was about 20 feet away from him as he did so. It had a lot of forward speed, but it didn't swoop nearly as long as some other, and significantly larger high performance canopies. Hmm.     I can see and agree with your point on this one. It seems like they are both trying to appear conter to their stereotypes. I just wish I knew more about these church appearances. I know that each of these people are not Robots, they have their own beliefs and passions. Obama and Romney for example, are both devout in their faith. Huckabee is up there talking at the pulpit, was he speaking about his faith in god for his own spirituality, or was he trying to use the church as a way to pad his campaign with $$. I'm okay with one, but not with the other. =========Shaun ==========

    Wonderful Choice! You can't go wrong with a Triathlon; They are wonderful canopies, excellent for general purpose jumping. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the $$.. =========Shaun ==========

    Yeah, you hit a good point. One of the main reasons I'm waiting an extra 3 months is that I want to lost about 15 pounds, and the new 2K3 is kinda like my reward for doing it..... =========Shaun ==========

    I was cruising all the hormone-driven threads in the Bonfire for the last few hours, and it got me thinking about my Skydiving Fantasies. I'll bet 1/2 of you are planning on some new gear in the next few months... What's on your mind? I've got my mind on a new Racer 2k3 in about 2 months. That'll last me for the next few years. I'll sell my current 2K3 to a new skydiver looking for a good first rig and make 1 more racer fan in the world. So, who else has new-gear dreams every night before going to bed? =========Shaun ==========

    Here in Kansas, the rhetoric among the DZO is "You can never have a Turbine in Kansas., or "Kansas Dropzones can't afford to accommodate both Tandems and upjumpers." and I think the SDD is proof that this isn't necessarily so. The weather in both places is just as unpredictable, and between all the major cities in the area (Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka) we have a good enough population base.... Skydive Dallas helps me think big...

    Boy, have I ever been in your shoes. This summer I lived in Wichita, just about 6 hours north of Skydive Dallas. I loved to go down there, and we had about 5 students who wanted to head down there for a week and fast-track their license from Dallas's Otter and Caravan. I called the Head Instructor, and got the Okay to work with our students, with our student rigs down there. 4 Separate weekends We had to Cancel Because of Weather.
