  7. Was body position of the Student Jumper taken into consideration?? I know that Mantas are pretty forgiving, I pack them every Weekend, but still - body position can play a major roll in a clean deployment.... =========Shaun ==========
  8. J.E. Showed me A video of one of his dives to become an AFF IE - That was some pretty insane flying.... =========Shaun ==========

  11. I believe that in this sport nowdays, all of the Container manufacturers produce a perfectly good, airworthy rig. Sometimes the thing that distinguishes between a "Good" and a "great" rig is customer service...... The Dolphin is a "Great" Rig.... =========Shaun ==========

  14. Thanks so much for the Post!!! I have over 200 Jumps on my former Dolphin, and I had similiar experiences with dealing with Mike Furry! One hell of a nice guy.... Some pictures of your new Dolphin would be greatly appreciated!! =========Shaun ==========
  15. Those are about the same numbers, same Exit weight and same sized canopy I had when I went... I think at those numbers, the WFFC can be one of the greatest things you can do for your learning and advancement. The LO's there are superb - They can work with you on becoming a better Relative Worker and help you have the most fun doing it as possible. As for the Traffic - IMO, it wasn't anything that a person with your jump numbers couldn't handle. I actually felt more comfortable landing in the Spectator area by the Yellow and White Tandem tent, but Even the Main Landing area wasn't unmanageable as long as you follow the traffic pattern..... Stop by the DZ.com tent - I hope to meet ya there!!! =========Shaun ==========
  16. Give him time - Just hope he doesn't do anything to rash (I.E. GET MARRIED!!) before the Time Factor can settle things out... =========Shaun ==========
  17. That comment hit home on me...... I agree.....I Beg you, Pray, plead, ask, nobody deserves that..... =========Shaun ==========
  18. I can understand your frusterations - my family has felt the same way about my brother's last wife and three fiances..... My advice is this - Respect his decisions but let him know where you stand. If possible, try to convince him to wait a while longer before the wedding - time will be the only thing to tell about this twits true character.... I hope that helped - that is the general formula we've used the last couple of times..... Keep us posted, you know you can always find your friends here on DZ.com...
  19. Oh I know that they are a top of the line rig - The few that I have seen are amazing in their comfort and I hear only the best things about their customer service - I think the only reason We don't see a lot of them is just a regional thing - Kinda like why you see a lot of Wings at one DZ and a lot of Javs at another... =========Shaun ==========
  20. Got called on it last night - This weekend I took the Three Day Static Line I course from Sducoach at Freefall Express in Mount Vernon, MO. I was the only SL candidate there, the rest doing their IAD ratings - Since Sducoach was the only evaluator with the SL IE rating, I got a lot of 1 on 1 instruction and coaching from him. The amount I learned from the course was humblilng, at best. We had to hussle to fit the course into three days, and I wouldn't be suprised if other courses went into a fourth day. It was a much more Involved course in comparison to the Coach Course, and I am not ashamed to say that I had to work my butt of and keep my head about me to make it through. Well, I passed the course and now have my I. I wanted to post this here and publicly thank Sducoach for the course and for his hospitality - and thank him for making us work and perform at the high level he expected. That was not an easy course by any means..... I am confident that after passing his course, I am prepared to deal with the challenges and responsibilities of being an Instructor. That course was an eye opening experience for me. I know that his Signiture on my card recommending me for the Rating means a lot....Thank you. On another note - the People and atmosphere of Freefall Express Skydiving was beyond my expectation of a Dropzone. Very seldom do you see a Dropzone so open to out-of-towners and I felt very welcome. Heck, I was suprised when I was given a copy of their End of the Year video, to see myself on it a couple of times!!! As for the beer I owe - It's already been purchased as I was already called. I bought a hardly lager - a brew made from the finest ingredients: Carbonated Water, High Frutose Corn Syrup, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Carmel Color, Caffiene. (I'm a non-drinker....) =========Shaun ==========

    Shrek 2

It would be just fine - To understand a lot of the Adult Humor you need to have seen a lot of more mature movies - For a Four Year old, It will be just a funny movie about Fairy Tales with a Singing Donkey...
  22. This is just my observation, but I really don't see very many Infinitys here in the Midwest - They seem to be about as popular as the Quasar2 - or at least here in the Dropzones in Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa... =========Shaun ==========

    Shrek 2

I would like to take this opportunity to say that this is the most brilliant movie of our times. If any of you get a chance, get out and see it in the theatres. Just like the first, I get the feeling that this one was written more for an aware audience
  24. Let's take a step back from this and look at it in another perspective - - - Diesel vs. Hybrid SUV's? Why not encourage the production and use of more efficient, smaller cars in the first place?? Hell, soccer moms don't need an 18-foot 4-wheel drive Ford to lug their Middle Schoolers to band practice & to carry all their groceries home! I am convinced that 95% of SUV owners don't use their vehicle to it's potential and could do just as well with a smaller vehicle. In 2002, the Ford Explorer accounted for over 75% of the Ford Motor Companies Gross Income - It just makes me sick.... My little Tangent Belongs in another thread, but it ties in easily. Let's start with the obvious here, people... =========Shaun ==========
