  1. Finger banging Mary Jane Rotten Crotch. Sorry, it is from my 2nd favorite movie.
  2. I totally wore out AC/DC - Who Made Who when I was in my early teens. Then later in my teens I wore out Overkill - Years of Decay
  3. Wow, looks like the scenery at the Ranch will be even prettier!
  4. That should work fine. They are just veriying your currency, even though they are just taking your word for it anyway with a logbook. You just need to comply with what they want.
  5. And I agree it is their dz and their policies, so to jump there you need to comply. However, there is nothing stopping him form logging his last jump on a piece of paper and having it signed.
  6. Just get a small logbook, or even a notebook and log some current jumps. There are no requirements that someone has to have their jumps signed off unless it is for a license or rating. I log my jumps in a cash receipt book and never have them signed. I mean, someone could log whatever they want really. I could open my book right now and log 50 jumps I never made. If someone wanted them signed, I could do that too. If a dz is requiring you to show a logbook, get a piece of paper and log your last 20 or so jumps with what jump number you think they are. Have someone sign it. Afterall, any ime someone looks at a logbook, they are just taking my word for it anyway. If you have a current license, there really is no difference between telling them verbally that you are current or writing it down on a piece of paper. Just because the cover says "logbook" doesn't make it any more official. And nowhere does it say that I have to have my jumps signed off once I have met my license requirements.
  7. Is Jason coming? And if so, is he swooping or playing?
  8. Yes I did. And it's a beauty!
  9. Louie took mine of me and him.
  10. Aren't they sometimes called "cheaters?"
  11. A Google search might help. Unless they are out of stock when you find them.
  12. Well, I wasn't a child, but I was a teenager.
  13. I see a proud father and a happy baby.
  14. BECAUSE THAT IS NOT THE GOAL! Dude, highjumpers have a goal to jump over the greatest height they can. How do they do it? By using a technique where they end up on their backs. Longjumpers have a goal of covering the greatest distance across the ground they can. How do they do it? By using a techinique where they sacrafice the landing to go the furthest they can. Should we limit them to only stand ups? When the goal is to simply cover as much horizontal distance under a canopy as you can, you sacrafice the landing. It is really simple, and I cannot believe that this thread has gotten so carried away with this. Big deal if it doesn't look as pretty. Big deal about public image. If there is a competition to go the furthest distance under a canopy, THAT is what you do. To accomplish this, you stay off the ground as long a possible and get every ounce of lift and distance you can from your canopy. It is really simple.
  15. You are wrong. In zone accuracy and freestyle stand up landings are the goal. Most people took a 10 point penalty in zone accuracy for failing to stand them up. Nope, I am not wrong. I was referring to classic accuracy not zone accuracy. My point is, if you told Jay or any other Pro swooper to do 100 standups in a row, they would probably give you 100 standups. When the goal is distance or something else where standing up is not the goal, then they will often choose to slide it in.
  16. Nah.... Not so much. If you want to see stand up landings, go to a stand up landing competition. This was a swooping competition. Just as with an accuracy comp, stand ups are not the goal.
  17. I think these are great ideas, and all it takes is someone with the initiative to start these types of competitons. I like the idea of a non-crossbrace division, and this is a very easy thing to start. Competition coordinators just need to add it. The other thing I would like to see is, just as in auto racing, having a modified and a non-modified (stock) class. With modified, you can use different lines, retractable deployment systems, weight, and other modifications as are now used in competition. With the non-modified or stock class, you have to use canopies the way they are sent form the manufacturers. No modifications, no different lines, slider and pilotchute stay on, and you can not wear added weight. I love what is going on in swooping right now and I have no problem with modifications or people wearing weight. I just think it would be a cool thing to add to current competitions.
  18. I was wondering the same thing. Seems to me, PD has a pretty good hold on things in the swooping world right now between their products and factory pilots.
  19. I will thank you now. Thanks cocheese! Yes, I also like the nicely fitting suit! Because it matches your new rig, of course!
