  1. What??!!! You mean this thread isn't really about skysurfing? I am apalled!! I think I might put a snowboard on my feet this weekend and jump form 30,000 feet to do some spins and flips though.
  2. What is this skysurfing you speak of?
  3. Yup, your conscience is beautiful, no doubt.

    Hog Flop 2005

    So, no one took pictures???
  7. Jeesh! OK, I will go slow. The comment was made that they would not vote for a actor to be president. I sighted Ronald Reagan as an example of how an actor could very easily be voted into office. I never once said Reagan was a good president OR that Walken would make a good one.
  8. Thank you. You just made my point.
  9. Hang your clothes on a clothesline and quit your bitchin!
  10. It is actually setting that makes sense if you know what they mean by it. I agree that it osunds stupid, but fabrics hold moisture long after they are dry to the touch. By leaving your clothes in for a longer period under heat, the fabric is dried beyond just being dry to the touch. It is like a "permanent press" setting. Yes, I know that these new dryers also sometimes have "permanent press" AND the "more dry" settings, but the idea is to allow the user more control with temperatures AND duration. Granted, for the average home user, this is still much more than one needs and really just alot of fluff to sell dryers, but there is a method to the madness. At the very least, maybe it will help you to not be so upset with the settings on your dryer.
  11. Yep- it IS required. BUT, you still would have to sue if you wanted some kind of damages, and even then, you would still have to prove you suffered damages. It is unlikely the judge would award you anything unless you really could prove you were injured by the use of your photo. The best you could hope for realisticly is the judge saying they could no longer use your photo. If it is worth your time and legal fees to get that.
  12. Even if you did sue, which you could, you would have to PROVE that you were in some way damaged by the use of your picture. Then it would be up to a judge to decide if you were entitled to compensation.
  13. Awesome! Conrats to you both!
  14. I am interested in both and I don't think that VRW is necessarily the "future," but the next step in competition and measuring skill. The two are seperate, and one will not replace the other.
  15. Of course they count. You jumped from a plane, and that is what you are counting. Jumps. If you are talking about freefall qualifications, which you are not in this case, then technically tandems don't count. They are considered droguefall. So, if a requirement says you have to have X number of freefalls, tandems don't count towards that number. But you are just counting your total number of jumps, so........ Tandems count.
  16. No, artistic freeflying is not freestyle. And I wasn't disclaimering myself. I said that so someone wouldn't come back with a response like "Hey man! It takes alot of skill to do the artistic events!"
  17. The great thing about VRW 4way is that it gives a real measurable level of skill. It is not so much about looking good as it is flying ability. Team A vs. Team B, doing the same moves in the same amount of time. Plain and simple, whoever completes more formations in 35 seconds is the best team. With artistic freeflying, the moves that are the hardest may not look the prettiest and the moves that are easy might look awesome. So, depending on what the judges are looking for in that particular comp, a team may win and not necessarily have the most skill. Which is fine, but just a different level of competition. VRW 4way is extremely challenging and very humbling when you find out how difficult it is to do well. It really tests your flying abilities in a way that artistic flying doesn't. In no way am I saying that artistic flying takes no skill, or that one is harder/cooler/more challenging than the other. I am just saying that this is the next level of measurable skill in freeflying and the next step in competition. Kudos to the people who are bringing this to light and holding competitions. It is exciting to see and I am proud to be a part of it, even if I did come in last in my first competition.
  18. Oh yeah right, I am sure that everytime you have ever had the urge to dance, you have always had a partner. Get real. And besides that, if anyone says they don't occasionally like to dance by themselves, then they are lying.
  19. Have you been to an allergist? I couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble in certain places until I went and had the tests done. Turned out that I was very allergic to cats and never knew it. I grew up with cats too, and never THOUGHT I had a problem either. Prolonged exposure can worsen other allergic or asthmatic conditions. As far as EIA, it is VERY common. Our airways have a reaction to cold air that produces a "natural asthma." Airways restrict and become inflamed as a natural defense causing us to cough alot in cold air during exercise. Harmless to most, this can have a drastic affect on asthmatic lungs. In most cases, an inhaler will work fine to help relax the airways.
  20. Maybe, but if everytime you ran into a certain person, they punched you in the gut, you would probably begin to hate them too. Follow me?
  21. The problem is, I am EXTREMELY allergic to cats. We are not just talking about sneezing and watery eyes.... I get terribly ill around cats.
  22. You are obviously not reading all my posts. I HATE CATS!!!
