    I am sure they are on the same day for a reason. My question was whether or not Rememberance Day was the equivelant of our Memorial Day, which is a day to remember our fallen soldiers. Veteran's Day is a day to remember ALL of our service veterans. It was more a question of what the day was for, and not necessarily what date it fell on. I wasn't sure if: Veteran's Day = Rememberance Day Memorial Day = Rememberance Day Veteran's Day/Memorial Day = Rememberance Day

    Ok. I just looked at the calendar and see that it is Rememberance Day in Canada and the UK. Which I assume is like our Memorial Day in the US. Today is Veterans Day in the US, which is a day to recognize all men and women who have served in the armed forces. It is not just for remembering the fallen soldiers.

    Oh, I meant I haven't seen any recognition in my day here. This thread is the exception, where there has atleast been some. Even though the original subject was just whether or not you get the day off.

    I have met wonderful people all over this country, but I really just never run into the west coast people because I find it hard to get past the Mississippi in my travels. But everything I hear about the west coast chicks has been good. Maybe it IS just because the cool ones are in our community of skydiving, since I really have found that almost ALL skydiving chicks are awesome. I guess I just wish I could run into and meet some of these cool west coast chicks!

    Yeah, kinda backwards, but I am used to it. I don't think I have had a Veterans Day off since I was in the Army, and I bet a total of 5 people have ever wished me a happy Veterans Day in 10 years. But atleast people reckognize their boss for Bosses Day. I appreciate your thoughts.
