  1. I include them too! I don't have to meet you in person to know you are awesome and beautiful as well.
  2. Well, I will tell ya, the chicks I have met in freeflying and in this sport are the absolute most kick-ass, awesome, rockin', cool, beautiful ones in the world! So, I am sticking with my answer- The chicks.
  3. Pushing/pulling the risers apart instead of down is definitely the way to go. It is simply a much more efficient technique to trim the canopy with less drastic change to the wing. You can get very good results with pulling down on the rears, but if you are asking which is better, I think you will find that most Pros will tell you they only pull or push them apart and not pull them down. I will let someone else explain the characteristics of a wing if you want to get into that. It is alos for much of the same reasons as stated above for flattening the wing. Much like pulling the slider down to let the risers seperate. You also have a lot less tendency to give too much input when pushing them apart.
  4. You are welcome! Now we just have to meet so we can get an exit shot of our own!
  5. Here are a few more for ya!
  6. Way to go! I personally don't recommend using a sit suit. I think the quicker you learn to fly your body without the help of a suit, the better. You are on the right track. Stay with something heavy and baggy on top and tighter on bottom. The most common mistake when learning sit is to rely to much on your arms for the stability. Yes, the arms are crucial, but it really is about getting your upperbody over your center of gravity and using your legs and lowerbody for a solid base. Think about pushing down with your feet and keeping your knees and feet a little more than shoulder width apart to give you that base. If you think too much about catching yourself with your arms and then forget about your feet, you will lose your stability and spin with your feet up in front of you. Pull your feet in, sit up over your hips, push those feet down and sit up. Use your arms to hold your heading. Don't try too hard with your arms to push yourself into a sit when you are leaning back. It will only cause you to spin if you don't get those feet under you and get your center of gravity over them. Good luck! And if you are ever in NY, or run into me somewhere else, look me up and I will go up with ya and help ya out.
  7. I REALLY, REALLY wish I could!! But I will just have to be there in spirit.
  8. I think I prefer Liz's explanation, but who knows, maybe "The Goldfish" will catch on! So, in answer to the original post question; my new favorite exit is "The Goldfish." Which loosely translates to: "Come here suckah, I wanna give you a big, wet kiss!" Weege- Have fun this weekend! Wish I could be there! Tell the girls I said hello and give Amy a smack on the ass for me! (see attatched pic) Then find someone to give you one for me. I want to see a picture of a "Goldfish" exit after the weekend!
  9. Like this one with Leah and Amy!
  10. The one's with my friends!
  11. Pictures Here Pictures by Brian Buckland and myself.
  12. Here is a still form the Jumptown dive. We fought some major clouds, but got it in. I took this shot from outside the main formation.
  13. Had a blast at Jumptown flying with Amy and gang! Thanks everyone for a great time and for all the good dives. Wish I could have made more on Sunday, but I guess that is what staying out til 2am dancing will do to ya! Thanks for being such a bad influence Amy! Thank you to Amy for coming out and for playing with us! As always, you were a true pleasure to jump with and learn from. I will have some pictures up soon and will post a link to them.
  14. I think by "turbulent conditions", PD is referring to situations beyond the average. Winds and turbulence that are quite high and unusual. In these conditions your best bet is to keep the canopy in full flight and not to alter the wing by any aggressive manuevers like front risers. In normal conditions and even in steady high winds, using front risers will not pose a problem.
  15. No- using double fronts will not cause the nose to fold over. If someone said that, it is just speculation with no real evidence to back it up.
  16. Yes- it is the position you go to when the fun is over.
  17. I am so sorry for your loss, Katie. I lost my teammate and friend last September, and I know how hard it can be. I am sure your situation is even going to have more challenges. Be strong and lean on those who love you. I know we don't know each other, but I am here if you need anything or just want to talk. I am sure you have a great support system, but I just wanted you to know I am praying for you and am here if you need.
  18. My heart goes out to Katie and all is family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
  19. What is this 'belly flying' you speak of? Hi Weege!
  20. I know, I know. I am a bad 'not your boyfriend'! Just can't cancel these plans. But I really do love you! Have a blast in Xkeys!
  21. Very nice work! If I hired you, could you make me look that cool too?
  22. Nice dive! I am keeping my eye on airfares for Atlanta in October! Don't give my room away!
  23. Darn it! Darn it! Darn it! You HAD to pick the one weekend that I couldn't go to Xkeys! You should continue right up to Jumptown in Mass the following weekend and come jump with me and Amy Chmelecki! Going t be some good flyers there and some sweet jumps! Well, I KNOW you will love Xkeys, so we will just have to plan another weekend to meet there!
