    I have to laugh out loud at this one...Fortunately for me, my fiancee is a GI Doc with small fingers! We haven't tried this but if we did, at least I know she'd get it right the first time around!!!!     I'm feelin ya! I close on my new house in February. Have to lug a bunch of crap from Philly and Florida to the new house in Augusta, GA. Not sure how much jump money I'll have once in the new house, but I know that the nearest DZ will be down in Statesborough. Won't be nearly as nice or as close as CrossKeys , but a DZ is better than no DZ!!!! __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    I've been psycho-packing my Pilot 168 for about 20 jumps now. When I first started I ended up with some fat rolls that were somewhat difficult to get in the bag. I even had a few where it was slipping and sliding all over the place and I ended up just starting from scratch. After about the 6th psycho pack, i got it down. Now my roll is actually so small and tight I have no problem getting it in the bag. In fact, the roll is so small and tight I really should switch to the smaller rubber bands! __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    I just did my first psycho pack job on Friday. I was nervous as hell to jump the thing, but sure enough...it opened!! And it opened SLOWLY!!! Wow that was a long deployment, but it was right on heading. It's kinda wierd to just roll the thing up like a sleeping bag and then just stuff it in. But I think I like the psycho pack. My first pack was kinda fat and hard to get the bag in the container tray. This is a problem I've been having with a regular PRO pack since I'm jumping a brand new (~40 jumps) Pilot 168. I had been wanting to give psycho packing a try since I saw SkyMamma do it down in Deland as I thought it might shrink the size of my pack job. My second psycho pack was much better and MUCH tighter. I actually had to double over the rubber band on a grommet stow because I had the canopy rolled so tight. If you can find someone to show you how to do it, definitely give it a try!!! __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    I'm having the same difficutly visualizing this too. When I pack, my bridal attachment point is at the top of my cocoon. If I started rolling it from the top down to where I'm kneeling where my slider is, I would simply roll my bridal and my d-bag right into my roll. (and I do have my rig right in front of me and still can't figure this out, unless I'm supposed to pull the bridal over to one side while I'm rolling?) __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    If kneel on it down by where the slider is, then pull the canopy up to your chest and roll it down, what do you do about the bridal and the d-bag? Since the attachment point is where you would begin your roll from, how do you keep them out of the roll??? __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    Well, right now I've been jumping at Cross Keys, so the only people who've seen my crashes are the ones who happen to be looking out in the landing area as I come (so hopefully not too many people ). I'll be back to jumping in FL for in a week or two so I'll defintely head over to Deland for the Canopy course and also try to get a few jumps in at Williston before going to Deland to see if someone there can catch what I'm doing wrong... __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?

    I don't disagree at all that coaching will definitely solve this problem. But if I have no problems landing with sufficient winds, will the coach still be able to determine what I'm doing wrong to cause me to crash with no winds? __________________________________________ Have you Got Flare?
