They're fu&$ing idiots at the Univ. of FL. I heard that he talked with them about coming back and that they told him that he'd have to do a formal interview just like everybody else. I heard it put this way: What would they possibly ask him in an interview? What are your qualifications and do you think you can bring our team up to a championship level? I heard that he told them to look right down the hall at their trophy case for his qualifications. What a joke. I never liked him but respected him greatly as a coach with his ability to inspire greatness. The Univ. of FL dropped the ball big time on that one. ADDED: By the way WAR EAGLE!!! 13-0 SEC Champions

Friday: 1. Demonstration jump into football stadium in Alexander City, AL for the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall ceremony. Smoke/flags (I jumped the POW/MIA flag) 2. Jumped solo back into the airfield on return back home (very high and gusty winds; nobody else would jump with me ) Saturday: Sick as crap with an upper respiratory infection. Too windy for anyone to jump anyway. Beer light came on at ~10:30am. Sunday: 1. 4-way RW 2. Practice jump for demo 3. 8-way RW jump for a friend returning to skydiving after a very bad skydiving accident last year at Flora-Bama. 4. Another demonstration jump into same football stadium in Alexander City, AL for the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall ceremony. Smoke/flags (I jumped the POW/MIA flag again) 5. Jumped back into the airfield with a friend, did a 2-stack (CRW), and landed it. Game over... Great weekend.

You're right. Mine was swayed by having children. -

Of course there are exceptions. Some people's "exceptions" are broader in scope than mine, however, I do recognize the need. My wife is an OB/GYN Physician. She performs D & C's and gives medications that induce abortion but only in cases where the mother's life is significantly threatened and it's always very early in the pregnancy. A doctor has to make those decisions. We have to do the best we can while still preserving a culture of life. -

You need to watch your mouth with the personal attacks. It shows a lack in tact and ability on your part. Drunkmonkey said: I said: Why don’t you add your rational thought and obviously superior intellect to the discussion and tell us all what you think abortion is fundamentally about. -

Thanks for the newsflash. I needed that. How do you figure? Do you speak for everyone who supports Roe vs. Wade? I think a bunch more people would change their minds about the procedure if more of them were educated better on what’s involved with it. (e.g. It’s much harder to “pull the trigger” when you’ve got to look the person in the eyes first.) Bullshit. The goal for abortion is to kill babies and to eliminate responsibility. I didn’t bring religion into this at all. You did. It’s not needed to demonstrate why this is wrong. -

I'm with you. I think we've got our priorities way out of whack whining and moaning over a bunch of baby seals when shit like this has been going on. Partial Birth Abortion -
Obviously not with the ones at the gate with all the guns.

Probably just as cute as that chimpanzee that recently ripped that guy's testicles off and bit off his nose. I'm sure he was real cute. Those are wild animals.

Correct. Protect yourself first. The soldiers have been forced into this position of high alert. You'd think an intelligence officer (Italian or otherwise) would have a better plan than that. You don't go "outside the wire" without a plan, backup plan, and "go to hell" plan for getting back in. (e.g. Stop a safe distance away (preferably out of small arms range) and use flare, smoke, HOW ABOUT radio commo!!!, flag, etc.; if you must come in fast due to being pursued, how about a loudspeaker with prior coordinated radio communication with the guys who are going to save your ass when you get back to the green zone?; otherwise, how about coming in slowly so as not to draw attention like everybody else who wants to live in a freakin warzone?) This was a brave guy for dying to protect this lady but you've got to use that grape on the top of your shoulders when downrange.

13y.o. Suspended Over "alleged assault with a rubber band"
pajarito replied to Kennedy's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm not saying the kid might not have been out of order (but hey...he's a kid for crying out loud), but I think the teacher needs to be suspended for not being able to handle her class. To a degree, if you're going to teach 13 year olds, you'd better expect them to act like 13 year olds and be able to deal with them appropriately. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's nothing that most of us here haven't done. -
Kallend...I'll bet you and Ward L. Churchill have a lot in common.

Ok, the first paragraph is speaking specifically about the women involved in the attack where Lynch was taken as a POW in an attempt to describe the conditions under which women have to endure in the war in Iraq. The second paragraph is speaking generally about the different kinds of injuries or physical conditions that women are coming back from the war in Iraq with. Nowhere in there does it mention or even allude to Jessica Lynch being raped or even having symptoms of rape. As with many other topics we’ve discussed, Bill, it’s all in the details and context. I know that’s a real pain in the ass but that’s just the way it is. From your comments, it appears that there are many misconceptions on both sides of the fence.

Did FOX say she was raped? I don't remember that one.

For the Last Time, WTF is an Assault Pistol?!?
pajarito replied to Kennedy's topic in Speakers Corner
Is it painted black with a rubber grippy handle on top? Yup... That's some dangerous and scary shit. I like the full-automatic ones with laser sensors myself. -
That's cool. You've got talent!

To a degree, I could agree with that logic, however, why should they also continue to be allowed to be a burden on society for the rest of their lives?
-
I thought you couldn't attack a group just like you couldn't attack a person here on dz.com. The statement above is a fine example of an ignorant (and false) generalization.

Maybe I've heard that they're not vestigal legs at all. I've heard that they're used for holding on during sexual intercourse. The leg bone thing is just another leap of faith from the evolutionist camp. But, you know, ...it's a theory.
