  1. Yes. All others are in direct contradiction and are "false prophets." I don't wish to insult or anger anyone with my statement. Really. That is not my intention. I'm just saying what I believe.
  2. God is, in fact, perfect and almighty and doesn't need anything. He desires a personal relationship with his children, though, and wants what's best for us. Therefore, since we are fallable and not perfect, we are in desperate need of guidance. Look around.
  3. I think, whatever party you adhere to, that politicians like to change the rules to meet their agendas. I personally think that the framework of the policy is more important than that and should be preserved, Democrat, Republican, or Indepentent.
  4. That's what they said about Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran ~800 years AD.
  5. Nothing you've said disproves scientifically anything in the Bible relating to the topics you've mentioned. You can't prove scientifically that without the capability of intelligence or emotion or even conciousness means that there is no soul. Nothing is discredited or contradicted.
  6. That's some serious talent and coordination!!! Cool video! Although, I'll be we wind up having to pay some of their medical bills from the emergency room.
  7. I disagree with myself sometimes and I only have one ID. Is that a problem I should be concerned about? I keep telling the voices in my head "NO" but sometimes they win.
  8. Being required to testify under oath and volunteering information are two different things.
  9. Do you have a basis for your accusations or are you just repeating what you've heard? Give examples for your generalizations.
  10. But what she volunteers to do or is told to do by the White House staff on behalf of the President to do is different from being required. She is not accountable to them.
  11. The reliability of the Bible is another thread. It's a large one. I personally believe that it is the inspired written word of God and is accurate.
  12. All one can do is refer to His word, The Bible, and pray for guidance. If sincere and one is not driven by personal desires, I believe the will of God will be made known to the true Christians. Those who sincerely accept Jesus Christ as savior. True Christians will have The Holy Spirit as their counselor. They will then be compelled to do the "will" of God. That doesn't mean that they will always do the will of God just because they are Christians. There is a constant battle within between their human nature and their new Godly nature. It's MUCH easier to choose the selfish route.
  13. Hundreds of people saw the miracles performed by Jesus both educated and uneducated (by their standards, of course). The educated ones surely would have tried to figure out how he did it. Hundreds saw him killed by the Romans and then resurrected three days later with the wounds to show for it. He even predicted that it would be done. Thomas actually inspected one of the wounds with his finger. Do you honestly think someone would intentionally put themselves through all of that just to trick everybody? Roman crucifixion? Do you think the Romans were in on it?
  14. I know I don't get it right all the time. I'm imperfect. Whenever someone puts their selfish needs above the will of God, they get into trouble. All I do is, through my faith, try to do the best I can.
  15. Is this really going to turn into a discussion comparing David Blaine with Jesus Christ? I thought this was a serious discussion.
  16. And the kids blowing themselves up on Israeli buses also think that what they're doing is right too. That doesn't mean that are, however, just because they're too ignorant to know any better.
  17. mmmmmmmmmmm............ok......
  18. I hesitate to vote on this one. I personally do not believe that something as unnecessary and vain as that shouldn't be done to anyone that hasn't had the chance or doesn't have the capacity yet to decide for themselves if they want it done or not. On the other hand, I believe a parent should do what they think is in the best interest of their child and that it is their decision. There might be some that do it for religious reasons. I don't know. I wouldn't consider it abuse, though, and wouldn't judge anyone else for doing it. I just wouldn't myself. I can't vote and say yes or no, however. Sorry.
  19. The church is a body of believers led by the Holy Spirit. The body of believers are people and are, therefore, fallable. God is not. The vile things that people do or have done in the past in the name of the church is not "of God." No matter what their denomination. If a church doesn't have God at its center, it is dead.
  20. You're still providing the basic structure for flight when I say extend the arm wing from the wrist to the ankle and provide added support for your shoulders within the suit. I wouldn't say you were close to crossing over to handgliding at that point. As far as creating some sort of mechanism to elevate the legs to compenstate for CG, I don't see as how that is any different from adding other perfomance enhancing design features into the suits you're jumping and testing now. You're still an integral part of the flying mechanism.
  21. I believe JW's and Mormons call themselves Christians and put up a good front with wholesome family oriented radio commercials and stuff like that in order to be considered as mainstream as possible in order to draw people in when in fact they are a cult and deviate from doctrine. The Jesus they worship is not the Jesus of Christianity as is detailed in the article at the following link: http://www.watchman.org/lds/ldstimrk.htm
  22. I used to work with a Jehovah's Witness. He described for me one day that Jesus was the equivalent to God's secratery. He was trying to explain "I am the way, the truth, and the life" that Jesus said. They do not believe in the Trinity. They do not accept Jesus as equal with God. They believe that you can achieve the same level as Jesus eventually. Good luck!
  23. Maybe a BOC isn't the most practical method of PC deployment. With a cable and a handle and a spring loaded PC, a deployment mechanism could be rigged from anywhere. I guess you'd be concerned with the dead airspace on your back at that point, though, with a spring loaded PC. I don't know. Just thinking out loud.
  24. I would think that some sort of internal frame structure just to take the pressure off the shoulder, if that is the major stress point, might allow more wing surface area. Kind of like the semi-rigid internal frame stucture of some hiking backpacks. I know that would add some weight but not too much. The added lift capacity might make up for that. It might be more effective for lighter persons, however. It would suck, though, if it broke during flight (time for surgery). That's why I mentioned that it would need to be ever so slightly flexible. It could be designed to bend downward to one's sides (maybe on a hinge) but resistant to bending backwards. From looking at it, it looks like it might double your arm wing lifting potential depending on your angle of attack. With the CG problem and the legs being heavier, maybe some sort of helmet design coupled with head positioning might help with the aerodynamics (kind of like the Concord). Also, in the leg wing design, maybe some sort of adjustable semi-rigid elevator design could be implemented to raise the legs in proportion with the rest of the body for optimum flight performance. I volunteer SkymonkeyOne for the test flights. Take it to the ground...baby!!!
