  1. I didn't answer this part yesterday: It is a mother's responsibility to take care of herself and not do anything that's going to "obviously" hurt the baby. Such as drinking, smoking, using illegal drugs, etc. I don't think skydiving would be appropriate either late in the pregnancy because of the shock exhibited on the body (but that's just my opinion). Although these things are probably bad for the baby, of course I don't think the woman should be held liable if there's no intent to kill. If she beat herself in the stomach with the intent to kill the fetus, however, I think she should be charged with something more severe than involuntary manslaughter. Unintentional "falling down the stairs" or being involved in a vehicle accident wouldn't be her fault. Neither would natural spontaneous abortion. Common sense comes into play with pregnancy just like anything else.
  2. I am very much opposed to Ron Jr's views but I have respect for him in that he appears to be very consistent, isn't afraid to take a stand, and, like was said, doesn't hide the fact that he's very liberal. I would never vote for him but maybe the Democrats should have picked him as their candidate.

  4. Your logic doesn't make sense. Becoming human isn't like some benefit you get from the government once you're old enough.
  5. THAT...is a BIG bird! I'm Pajarito but that bird is Pajarone!!!
  6. Cool! It can run as fast as the wildebeest, the lion, and Thompson’s Gazelle! Impressive!!!
  7. That was quite a ridiculous hijack! Good job!
  8. If I was a bug, your knee would be as good a place as any... Also, bugs of the "oversized" persuasion "need lovin' too!"
  9. Ewwww... kinky! That size ratio is pretty common even in humans down here in the South. If I was a bug, I'd be doin' that all day long if I could.
  10. Really...this is interesting! Speed of Animals
  11. No congrats necessary...she's not mine. I just saw the pic in Bonfire. I do have feelings toward human beings or even ones still in development. However, my point was that there's not much difference between that baby and one much younger who might still need the environment of the womb.
  12. This is TeamHypoxia’s new baby girl. BABY She looked pretty much the same, for the most part, many weeks ago except much smaller. I think she was human back then too.
  13. Maybe a party should be thrown for all those babies in celebration of them becoming human onece they no longer need the breathing tube.
  14. Just because you gave a standard doesn't make it right. It makes it your opinion and I'll respect that. It doesn't make it any better than mine and certainly doesn't make it any more scientifically based.
  15. I may take a much more conservative approach to this issue but you are like my mirror image. The only difference between a 24 week old “fetus” and a 24 week old “baby” in the scenario I mentioned is that its umbilical cord has been cut and it has been taken out of the uterus. How could you look at a 24 week old baby in the NICU with a breathing tube down its throat (which it might require to survive) and not consider it human? Wow! You keep saying that. I guess I’ve kind of set myself up for the assumption that all my decisions have a religious basis from most of my posts here but it seems that you’re the one pushing the religious theme. I’m not. Maybe…maybe not. I believe 24 weeks is considered the earliest possible but that is the absolute borderline. I believe one that young would still need assistance in the breathing department. I could be wrong. I was just trying to make a point. You keep putting all these restrictions on the definition of what’s considered human. Why would the use of technological advances be the determining factor? If 10 years from now they develop a means by which to speed up the lung development process and a baby could survive much earlier than the 24 week minimum but only with the use of those technological advances, would the criteria for “being human” be pushed back even further? Maybe… Maybe not… If you saw someone about to be killed on the side of the road and you took no action, would you be responsible for turning a “blind eye?” Is that wrong? I think so. There was a time when it used to be. Advanced measures used today will be considered as simple in the future. It doesn’t create the environment that you mentioned but it is just as necessary in many situations. My wife does emergency C-sections all the time. …How’s my “strawman” holding up?
  16. A horseshoe crab looks all funny when it's turned over.
  17. That's a good one! I like that.
  18. I've just got a really hard time voting on this one because it's pure speculation. Who knows... Who cares... I don't like him but it's a catchy phrase. Therefore, no vote from me.
  19. Not in many states in America. In fact, many states specify that *only* a shotgun may be used for deer hunting, because they want to limit the range of the projectiles which miss their target. Rifle bullets travel "too far". I killed my first deer with a Remington model 1100, semi-auto, shotgun, with a 30 inch barrell and firing 3 inch magnum 000-buckshot. He made the fatal mistake of trying to cross the road I was watching.
  20. I've got one of those Saddam Hussein pin cushion dolls from the Gulf War in 91 (still in package). I'm going to wait another 20 years or so and sell it on e-bay (if it's still around). I wonder if it's worth anything?
  21. I just quickly glanced at the picture. My bad. I stand corrected. Finger on trigger and looking somewhere else = BAD. I change my mind...he is an ignorant dumbass!!! Whew...I feel much better!
  22. Dude...I love it!!! I wish more Democrats thought like you do! Excellent!
  23. You mean he hasn't been to one of those Gay Pride "Block Parties" in Philadelphia where they're just gathering in large numbers to express their community spirit and togetherness?
