Rigging customers passing through pay different rate.
wildcard451 replied to hookitt's topic in Gear and Rigging
I know of at least one rigger that charges more just because his seal was not the last one on it, therefore he must do a "more thorough" inspection. -
Dislocated shoulder during freefall - EMERGENCY PROCEDURE!

Where's the option for re-locating your shoulder under canopy? -

seeing how it will be st pattys day i vote lime green. Even with a complete bleaching prior, the green washes out way too fast, especially sweating while jumping i rocked electric blue hair for a few weeks actually. Yeah itll fade fast but with any GOOD coloring itll last at least a few days before t fades too badly. Pink is a fun one too. Hell any bright color would work. :) I did the irish flag in my head the last year at Dublin....Maybe back with red racing stripes...

What do you budget to attend a boogie?
wildcard451 replied to GLIDEANGLE's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
One day I will put up all the expenses and really depress the crap out of you. However, I take no responsibility for any resulting depression. I found that if I plan carefully, I get to do more with my meager resources. Didn't mean to cause distress. Hahaha, I mean I have a general idea in terms of tens of thousands that I have spent, but knowing it to the exact cent? Eh. Maybe I will keep better records this year for curiosity sake. -

I was about to say - that sounds like a bar tab at dinner. I'll keep an eye on how much I spend for the swoop meet in Z-hills upcoming. I am afraid to look. -

wildcard451 replied to GLIDEANGLE's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No. I refuse to check what I spend. I will then have to factor in shit like what I paid the hair lady to dye my hair and the IRS doesn't appreciate receipts that say "hookers and blow". -

I don't keep it exactly itemized because then I would just depress myself. I love skydiving, I just don't like thinking about paying for it. -

You could even get a deployable sail that pops up from the top of the cabin. Then you would REALLY be hauling ass. /if he's trolling, it's one for the record books //if not, i'm terrified that someone with 2000 jumps actually thinks like this ///golfclap -

Magical canopy faeries tell me which way the wind blows. -
Shah - it's perfectly normal.

His helmets were a perfectly balanced custom camera platform that was designed from a mold of your head. It is as perfect of a fit as one can ask for. Pricey, sure. Worth it if you had the dough....from what I saw of them, hell yes.

Took somene long enough to point that out.

I'm gonna have to agree with the overreaction D. Besides, he's just a stupid Jew, he knows no better. And if he did die, it really wouldn't be that big of a loss. I have dibs on his bike

To wildcard451: Hey Brandon, can you cover for me at tonight's group discussion on string theory by the hanging harness? I've got some brain surgery scheduled and then have to rush over to the rocket design meeting by the bonfire. I thought I was doing the operation? Oh well, string theory it is then. /brain surgery bores me anyway //no really, it does. In all seriousness though, to the OP: I hope you have learned a valuable life lesson here. TANSTAAFL. And if it seems to good to be true, it probably is, and you should put a little more thought into it before you rush headlong to be #1 in line. Think of it like this - you're beta testing Windows 8 and then bitching that something is broken.

I can't repeat the same point any more, but you need to go BACK to Physics 101 and study relative reference frames. Bill's post above about the earth's rotation is a good one. You're missing a very fundamental concept, and when it clicks for you, you'll see the problem with what you're saying. The air doesn't know it's moving. For all intents and purposes, it's NOT moving. The only reason we think it's moving is because we live on the ground. +1 -
-Psychic no. Stupid enough to think that only 7-13 people we gonna show up for "unlimited tunnel time" - nope. Hell, there were about 15 people from my DZ alone that thought about going. Figure that just from one DZ and yeah, doesn't take much intelligence to figure out there will be an overwhelming response. Don't try to take a stab at me when you couldn't figure something that simple out. Sorry you came all that way for so little. Apparently Tim's campaign learned from the mistake and are capping this one.

Well in that case can I get a DD ride too?

Lemme see when I am getting there and maybe I can help ya out.

If you want to keep your licence don't get a motorbike
wildcard451 replied to Boris73's topic in The Bonfire
At that speed hit it harder and get off the road before the fucker pulls out to chase you. -
Unlimited time divided among those showing up - even at 14 hours and 50 people, that is only 16.8 minutes per person. Do you deserve more "unlimited" time than someone else? That's the reason I didn't go. My friends and I were smart enough to figure out how many were going and do some simple math. Sorry you weren't able to do the same. Sounds like you got exactly what was marketed, with the exception of the 14 hours. That sucks. However, you only lost 1.8 minutes.
