I miss living out in the country, in London all you get is freaking cold weather and the crapness of public transport delayed in the snow, without the promise of going home and having a snow ball fight. [kevin] its sooo unfair [/kevin] ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

whens that? ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

ok ok you win enough about the socks and the rolling about on the floor! it was a good night, shame (although probably just as well) its only once a year. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
-
what was wrong with my socks? is a girl not allowed to show off her socks after a drink or 12? ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
-
yep - by then we'd officially passed into the 'really don't give a sh*t anymore' mode where you lose all sense of discreteness. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

shhh don't tell everyone! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

I knew someone must've been spiking my drinks! heh ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

happy first birthday! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

even so, Kazaa is generally still a big no-no on work networks. Most companies ban most kinds of filesharing software from working on their networks as it can provide an open back door security wise for those nasty little hackers out there. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
-
Are you talking about your work machine? As if so, talking from an IT dept perspective, they'll whup your arse if they find Kazaa software on your machine. Leaves it way open to all kinds of nasty viruses. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

i'm usually quite good (not intentionally) at concealing how drunk I actually am, and people think I'm still quite sober, then BOOM I'm wankered! Its that last goddam bit of Stella that did it. was a good night though. and Quickdraw, I think I owe you some fags, I think I only stole one or two of yours, but in case I was more of a thief than I remember, you can scab off me next time! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

sounds about right! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

well its just taken me 30 minutes to read through this thread! serves me right for taking a day off yesterday I suppose. Saturday was a really good night, and I met some funny people. I don't really remember too much of the band but was rather steamingly drunk most of the night, plus spent most of it sat in the hall with Quickdraw, Zeemax and Skydivemonkey. Had fun chaps, must do it again soon sometime in London. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

theres another one of these thats a sequel to it, but the only link to it I can find is here http://nibz.org/archives/00000182.html and you have to click where it says two. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

ok see you there, I'll be heading up around lunchtimeish. will probably see if I can tag onto some people that might be going out for a meal. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

yes, I'm of the 'pidgeons are vermin' ilk, though I think they're actually a protected species in Leicester Square or something mad. I hate it when they fly directly at your head playing chicken - horrible horrible things. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

yeah it looks slightly more professional laminated, but the image does still look like it was minimised using MS Paint then printed out on someones dodgy old inkjet. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

I can't get onto that page as it says you've exceeded the bandwidth allowed, but I would have to agree with you about the view there. One way mountains, one was the sea with all the little canals leading off it, beautiful. Did you get to do a sunset load? ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

I think it would have probably been a bit more popular if they had removed the head complete with beak and feet from the plate before bringing it out - it was kind of like that scene from Indiana Jones. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
-
Yes you still get a swanky plastic wallet, which is about 1.5 times the size of the bit of card inside it. Classy. I took mine out and laminated it so it fits in my wallet because I was bored at work (no! surely not) one day. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

talking of food, has anyone ever eaten pidgeon? I went out to China Town last night and we had this huge big platter of stuff (there were 16 of us) and one of the dishes was pidgeon. It was all done up as if it was still alive complete with feet and head and everything all on the plate there in front of us. Nasty. Although theres now one less pidgeon in Leicester Square. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

I don't usually read the political posts on here, and certainly have never responded to one, but I think maybe that people should remember that although its mainly Americans on this site, there are a lot of people from other countries that all use this site as well. And making wild assumptions about large groups of people based on where they live is likely to offend those of us that don't necessarily think that the American way of life is the best and are proud of being from our respective countries and our traditions we uphold there. Maybe you should think twice before generalising about entire nations of people on the thoughts and actions of a few. You cannot say that every nation on this planet who doesn't do things the way America does is jealous of the American way of life, that is ridiculous. At the end of the day, this is a skydiving forum, not a political forum, maybe we should leave the politics outside and get back talking about our common interest of jumping out of planes? [Steel - This isn't aimed directly at you - you were just the last person to reply to this thread] ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

well you've certainly given some bored skydivers something interesting to play with today! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

come on now play nicely, come to the AGM and get a few beers in ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~
