Just don't fight. Everyone loses their temper at some point but it is really not worth anything to get into a fight. If someone threatens you just talk him/her down. Try judo...It's an up close and personal martial art. If you get REALLY good at Tae Kwon Do you'd never let an opponent any closer than leg striking distance. Once the opponent closes this distance, Tae Kwon Do is some what useless if you are not highly skilled. That's when some other martial art like judo or any grappelling martial art comes into play. Judo is a purely defensive martial art which relies on an opponent to strike in order to use his own offense against himself. So if you can take both...TKD on Mondays and Wednesdays and Judo on Thursdays and Saturdays your pretty much set. --joe HISPA #69 The Best Band in the WORLD!!! I studied Tae Kwon Do for a long while and got my black belts trained competed some more and did the whole jazz...To be honest with you the more I learned the less I was wanting to compete. It was more for the control. No matter what martial art you do they are all practical when you learn them well. You are a leathal force when you can mame someone with a single blow...but when are you ever going to do that. If you want something that will get you out of a bar fight learn to control the situation by being the bigger man and walking away from fights or breaking up a fight. The great thing about martial arts is that you gain a lot of confidence being trained and this in hand leads to less fighting. my .02 --joe HISPA #69 The Best Band in the WORLD!!! How many jumps before camera flying?

I"m super glad I found this post. I had this exact question. My plan was to jump the helmet and mount until I felt comfortable. Then I was going to actually use the camera with the helmet in some of the other sports I participate in like climbing and if it takes me a long time IE next year to fly camera...videoing snowboarders with the camera on. I just felt I should know how air was going to affect me differently as well as how I'm going to react with over a grand worth of gear on my head. I plan on starting my helmet and mount jumps around 100 and seeing how I do with that combo. Are there any types of "no no's" when painting a helmet. I have a bonehead mindward that I want custom painted. There are cliff divers in Central America who jump from 45 feet into 5 feet of water. Of course they time it such that they hit at the peak on a set wave and really have more like 10 feet to work with...Either way pretty crazy stuff. Speaking from personal experience...I jumped from 15 feet and instead of having my arms to my side they were out at a 90 degree in a cruciform and I impacted the water like that...bruised the underside of my arms REAL good. Just imagine what would have happened at 100 feet. On a more somber note...a friend of mine in HS broke her back while cliff diving from 40 feet. --joe --joe HISPA #69 The Best Band in the WORLD!!! So...i've been working on my sit and I'm getting it to the point where I feel comfortable flying with other people and have control over height. Now what? Should I try to take grips? You know. I am having the same problems. My head is 24.5 inches around however, that isn't the problem. It's that the top of my head hits weird places on the inside of the helmet. I've tried on all kinds of xl and xxl helmets and nothing seems to fit. Almost got Skysystems to custom make me a helmet but that fell through.
