I like how you pointed out that you always ask DZO's about any special policies that the dz has. I am getting ready to travel around NC and visit as many new DZs as I can, and will remember this. Thats a very responsible thing, and Im sure most DZOs would really appreciate someone being that foward about safety. Thanks for posting this, it got me thinking. in low humidity areas its really common to be sweating and not even notice it, i.e. the air from around your body immediately "sponges" up the sweat, leaving none on you. In the east, we know when we should slug some water, its obvious when youre drenched with sweat

Obviously I trust who I jump with, otherwise I wouldnt jump with them. But you can't be so naive to think that there arn't whack jobs roaming around out there, and that some of them very well may have discovered our beloved sport. Get real, people do fucked up things sometimes, keep your gear where it belongs, close and in sight to you.
