I was not sure which day I'd be around Sebastian but it would be whatever day all my pals are around. Guess we'll watch weather forecasts tomorrow and see.....but yeah - I really want the CD of pics from the Keys Boogie. We had TOO MUCH fun in Key West...... As for comp in a few weeks....I should start a new post on this - maybe I will but for now, Shimmel or Ian, any chance you would come down Friday morning? I have a pal flying into Orlando Friday around 11 who I'd like to help get to Sebastian. Any ideas? I think you guys should discuss this in more depth, face to face while snuggled tightly in bed together, knowing that suggestive critiscism is just so you think about other options as to why something felt harder or didn't go like you thought it would. Oh I know......and I'll have a house by then too so I'll be happy to stay close to home, plus I am now recruiting people to come here - where I am sure it will be warmer than places like ELOY. Plus I can only guess the skyvan will be around and now the Otter is home for the winter...... Sebastian is for SURE the place to be...we just gotta make sure we have lots of people around to ring in the New Year with. And maybe some of them yummy purple jello shots! FABULOUS! I just pulled in home, it's 8:46 pm Sunday night and I am still smiling - ended the boogie on a great note....but there were so many other great notes in between. Weather was amazing, even today with the winds we had to deal with. Saw TONS of friends, made some new ones (who I hope find ways to get in touch since I didn't get any numbers or emails ). Made 17 jumps: some good flying, some not so great flying but all tons of fun..... Memorable moments - had two of them....one being my first attempt at a beach swoop where I actually tiptoed in the water.... ok fine - I was knee deep in the water but I did NOT biff in ANDDDDD I saved the canopy. The ROAR of the crowd was worth it all! Gotta learn sometime, somehow - why not the Keys, right? Second being my AMAZING last jump of the day, thanks to Harry Parker. I got a KICK ass ride in the chopper, scoped out the beach for some pictures, flew tree top, raced along a few little canals and then stepped off the rails into some of the sweetest air ever and landed safely ending yet another successful event. It was the PERFECT ending to an amazing weekend. Wendy and the entire Sebastian crew once again, made on hell of an event. Can't thank them enough for all there hard work......if you missed it, the video will surely have you booking your slot next year. Hugs to all.....until we cross the loading area again... That stinks Ian....I was looking forward to seeing you guys again but I also don't have a house yet so I'd be tenting it and not telling the fam I am so close - so I can play all weekend. So thinking a bit ahead, knowing that things can get crazy around the holidays - does anyone know of anything really fun going on for New Years? Any FL DZ's having a kick butt party (music, food, lots of people, etc)? I am trying to sort out what to do and although I hate thinking about being on the road cause of all the drunks and cops (maybe with luck I'll have a house and can hve my own party), I just want to be where the fun is. Melibe and I are both leaving after work tonight so should roll in around 10 or 11......and I don't know about her, but I'll be crashing so I am bright eyes and bushy tailed for Friday. I am going to jump like a mo-funky Friday and Saturday just incase the forecast is correct and we get wind and rain Sunday. Damn Florida Fronts! Not sure who has attended the Keys boogie before but a few suggestions: Make sure to bring something to pack on. They normally have big tents for shade but the mat is YOUR responsibility. (a hammer to stake it down also ) A packing weight, if you are like me, and like to hold your stuff still Also, a cooler is a VERY good idea except no alcohol on the airport prop. Hey - when are YOU guys heading to the Keys? I have to work but can get off Friday morning so I could leave Thursday night or Friday AM.....I'd hate to think of driving there alone but alone isn't horrible either

Yee-Freakin-Ha..........I've weaseled my way into a condo already so I am set on a place to stay, now I just have to find someone to make the drive with. You know it.....I made my first beach jump in the Keys. This is a place EVERYONE should get to jump at. With luck, half the landing area won't be under water this year Oh my goodness, I have had some sips of some drinks this fin evening and typing is not an easy task ;o) See ya Saturday, first load (right???)
