So, despite Brent's strawman arguments (nobody was predicting 2022 would be the warmest) he STILL counted his chickens before they hatched. 2022 did indeed make it to the top five, despite the 'double-dip' La Nina that should have kept temperatures lower (as I mentioned a year ago in January). This is why you need to stop arguing with that lib living in your head. Trump's hostility to China was one of the few things I agreed with - they're a threat to the region if not the world, including their support of Russia over Ukraine. Problem is, Trump only talked tough - as soon as Xi came over he became rather timid and eager to please, kind of like how he was with Putin. Trump's policy was also brain-dead in many cases with massive loopholes. Biden has fixed them. Then don't you think it's strange the Republicans are still screaming about his "open-border policy"?

Absolute rubbish. Although kids have died due to Russian strikes, none were today and nowhere near that number in a day. they haven't been moving forward...unless you count retreating?

Still no link, and this is a forward-looking statement, which means the final numbers aren't out yet. And since you can't do any number crunching to save your life, you'll have to wait. AND even then, nobody even predicted 2022 to be the hottest year on record (even if it did turn out to be the hottest in the UK ever) - because of the 'double-dip' La Nina, which WAS predicted a year ago. So really, brent is making up arguments in his head that he's now claiming 'checkmate' against...

I linked to the part where Brent misunderstands what the global temperature anomaly is, even though he had been talking about it so much. He refuses to make an actual prediction and runs off only a few posts later.

To be fair, predicting that fossil fuel use will increase isn't really a 'prediction', since none of us 'libs' are predicting otherwise...but somehow he massages his ego with that, along with some of his other 'predictions'. What he proved incapable of doing is making actual quantifiable predictions about the global temperature anomaly.

I should be able to find that thread really easily. Brent's "predictions" are worded really vaguely so he has TONS of wiggle room to say he's 'right'. When I asked him to provide numbers, he evaded and evaded and finally left "to watch the football".

You'll have to remember, there's a crippling chip shortage that's still going on since from the pandemic. It affects not just supplies of existing products (see what happened to Dekunu) but also impacts the ability to develop new ones. I've been trying to find a Raspberry Pi for some personal projects and they're still impossible to find (and no, I will not pay scalpers) - the Raspberry Pi foundation has said that things will only improve in the second half of 2023.

that's why military GPS has the ability to concentrate the signal to a smaller 'spot-beam' to make this more difficult. Then they'll have to increase the jamming power to compensate, which would then make them sitting ducks for HARMs.

Well for those I'd presume they'd use the military GPS codes, which are much more jamming-resistant than the civilian bands.
