    I read somewhere during the 2000 election shenanigans that an estimated 2-4% of all votes cast are tallied incorrectly. I've always wondered how they came up with the estimate. Anybody got any info? Just curious as to what sort of model they were using to come up with the #.

    The fact that this terrorist has been treated as a diplomat by so many is just amazing. The families of the US charge d'affairs and ambassador that Arafat ordered beaten to death in Sudan along with all the families of the Israeli athletes murdered in Munich - among countless others - have a legitimate gripe with the French for keeping that sonofabitch alive.     I personally don't see it happening. Abortions have been taking place for a long, long time. Though a lightning rod issue, it really doesn't affect the average American all that much. The left-wing obstructionists in Congress attempt to use support of abortion as a litmus test of sorts for judicial nominees - a practice I find inane and disgusting. I think the Bolton case has more of an effect on abortion law in the US than the more famous Roe case, but am not sure. Regardless, should it be overturned I wouldn't mourn, but don't see it happening. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

    Yeah Dom, you nailed it. The only reason a North Korean invasion ever comes up in conversation is because liberals haven't figured out that foreign policy isn't conducted with a cookie cutter. When they bring it up they're trying to scare folks about the prospect of another war. Nobody is going to suggest invading NK. Hopefully such nonsense will cease now that the election is over.     Specter is a RINO. He should have jumped ship with Jeffords. Hard to believe he's from the same state as Rick Santorum, who at least has some redeeming qualities. Specter was responsible for Bob Bork not getting on the court. When he won the Republican Primary for re-election I was sickened.     I disagree. I think North Korea and Iran are two entirely different foreign policy situations and that each must be dealt with uniquely. A military conflict with North Korea will not occur unless the NK's initiate it. I think GWB's last four years will see more domestic upheavals than in the foreign policy arena. Specifically, I expect him to push for partial privatization of SS and seriously consider either a fair or flat tax. With regards to the SCOTUS, I expect two to three nominations to occur. They might occur after the '06 elections to give the GOP a chance to gain a super-majority in the Senate, but not likely.
