  1. I agree. They sold out.
  2. Look.. we've hijacked anohter thread.. heheh!
  3. That was a rhetorical question...
  4. Oh the DC-3 (famous Mr. Douglas) is there! All he needs is a couple of engines. I havent camped in him yet, but hell.. may as well! In the winter we just have the 182, cause its cold here. The Westwind (Beech 18) will be back April 1. Last year it stayed thru november. The door on the beech is bigger than the door on an Otter.. and hellluva lot bigger than the door on a king air. We launch all kindsa formations out of it. THATS the deal! (plus.. I'm there! What else ya want??!)
  5. Theres a drop zone in Tullahoma, TN that you guys haven't visited..
  6. Dude.. did your dad just call you fat??? hehe.. jk! In your other post, you said you were going to switch to computer science. This letter seems that MIS is your choice. There is a big difference. If you pursue MIS, you will have business, marketing, and strategy courses, along with programming, networking, and analysis courses. My MIS degree is actually a Bachelors of Business Administration in MIS. CS is lots of math and lots of programming, very little business. Totally different degree.. totally different job paths.
  7. Our "snooze load" is free.. but it leaves at 8am.. I always miss the snooze load..
  8. The dollar amount is somewhere in between those two..
  9. Thats the first thing I said, Doug, ANY raise is a good raise. I'm thankful that I have a job, but I do not believe that the market for my skills is so bad that I shouldn't be doing research on the market VALUE of my skills.
  10. We have good health benefits, an ESOP, 25 days per year of PTO (total.. including company holidays, sick leave, personal leave), and other stuff. Overall its a nice benefits package. What industry are you in? Can you compare with other outfits in your area? I think you are wanting me to ask myself these questions.. but.. software company in the health care industry. We only have 2 major competitors, and they are not in this geographical area so I dont think the compensation scale would be the same. I think our major competitor is somewhere in Iowa. We are in Nashville, which is a healthcare mecca for hospital corporations and health insurance companies. I dont know what the rate of inflation is right now. Where is my Wall Street Journal?
  11. So.. average. I hate being average. (see my sig line.. )
  12. Ok so ANY raise is a good raise.. of course.. and I got one today, about a month after my annual reveiw. First year working for this employer. I didnt really know what to expect, other than something. At my six month review, I received a nice raise. This one was a little less. The two raises combined total roughly 4-5% of my salary. I just dont know if I should be going "WOOOHOOO! I rock!" and feel I'm being justly compensated for a job well done, or if should be disappointed and wonder if I'm really doing that great of a job. I received an oustanding annual review, so perhaps I was expecting more? I cant talk about it with my co-workers. Thats against company policy. I dont really want to talk about it with my manager because he has nothing to do with money other than signing the paperwork. Is 4-5% a good raise? Its actually more like 3% if you include the extra pay I receive for working slightly skewed hours. I'd like to pick the brains of the money-types out there..
  13. How YOU doin?! Oh, wait...you said you want a guy to buy YOU a rig...I thought you were looking for a guy that would let YOU buy the rig for him.. Yah.. I'm pretty sure I wont find a skydiver who will fall for that one.. heeeeerree whuffowhuffowhufooooooo!!!
  14. Sounds beautiful! Thanks for the post!
  15. K.. you get back to work.. I'm gonna go jump!
  16. Re-direct your "adidas" and "avatar" energy and put it in to cleaning. Does that work for men? My house is spotless! hehe. Seriously.. turn off your computer, put some tunes on, and dig in to it. Dont forget to throw stuff away and give stuff to goodwill. You know you've got too much stuff. Then hire a cleaning lady. Get all your shit organized, then have someone else do all the dirty work.. dusting, bathrooms, floors, windows, etc.
  17. So if I date you, you will buy me a new rig, and then I can dump you? Cool... Oh wait, you probably wont fall for that twice huh? damn. Just kiddin darlin... wouldnt do that to you or anyone.
  18. DAAYYUUUUMMM!!!!! What a cool man!!!! If you know any others like that.. send em my way!
