  1. Some early transcripts did have the number as "616". FallRate
  2. Wow, someone's a little sensitive. You have to wonder about someone who would riot because a book was mistreated half-way around the world. Well, not wonder, so much as stand in awe of the stupidity of some people. FallRate
  3. Speaking of motorcycles...anyone have a turn signal switch housing (with switch) for a '97 YZF1000R laying around. (The FZR1000 switch might be the same.) I really need one and don't want to pay list. FallRate
  4. I'm thinking the original post is missing a winking smiley. FallRate
  5. That would fall outside the boundaries of my definition of "friend". FallRate
  6. The saddest part is that many inmates (I do not know exactly how many...sorry! ) have been incarcerated for non-violent crimes that some would argue are victimless crimes. I remember reading an article which compared sentences for different felonies. With minimum mandatory sentences, it is possible (and likely) that you could spend more time in prison for selling a woman crack, marijuana, methamphetamine, etc. than if you were to rape her. (It can be argued that selling marijuana to a woman is no less than committing rape. I disagree with that.) FallRate
  7. I wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't open pics when a warning is provided. Hmm...the Deluxe Breakfast at McDonald's sounds appetizing. FallRate
  8. I'm wondering why he moved the body? FallRate
  9. Buffalo chicken pieces (raw) worked well for my Burmese. It is recommended by some reptile enthusiasts as it prevents the snake from receiving scratches and bites which can cause infection. If the snake is too picky to eat something that is already dead, well, does it really value it's own life? FallRate
  10. If you were mowing in the yard you could dump your clippings in the neighbor's yard. Should your neighbor complain, you can point out that if you are indeed going to hell, being a good neighbor is somewhat pointless. FallRate
  11. You left out the "Church of Scientology" and "Amway". FallRate
  12. A definition is provided in the "rules" section at the top of the page, right under "Gear" and "Classifieds". FallRate
  13. That was funny! FallRate
  14. Interesting info about the development of the birth control pill: apparently during the development it was widely illegal for researchers to share information on the subject of birth control, and birth control means at the time were regularly restricted or outright banned in different parts of the US. I can't remember why I know this...I'm thinking the subject made an appearance during a lecture on social mores, or something along those lines. Or I dreamt it...I make no guarantees. FallRate
  15. Speaking of Canada, someone told me the other day that I currently live north of 70% of Canada's population (Thief River Falls, MN). I don't know if it's true, but thinking about it makes me want to turn my furnace up...and move...soon. FallRate
  16. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "I am not a Marxist." --Karl Marx FallRate
  17. Depends on the audience. FallRate
  18. Did you ever think about getting the sheet music or tab? FallRate
  19. Here's a tip: Don't hold a guitar in your lap that is connected to a grounded amp while holding the IPod as it is being updated. Lots of unwanted shocks to the arm on the guitar strings. FallRate
  20. I wonder if the Brits are more rational when it comes to failed experiments than we Yanks. CCTV could be proved absolutely useless in the US, but so long as it makes people feel better, we'll continue to fund it. The D.A.R.E. program is a perfect example. It does not work. This has been known through research for at least ten years, yet we continue to flush money down this drain. Though equally worthless, at least the "Just Say No" program was cheap. FallRate
  21. It Closed!? I guess I'll just have to crave Talita's, which is easy to do. Speaking of the Spaghetti Warehouse...having grown up in the Columbus area I have been to the Warehouse a few times (probably about 50 to 100 or so). A friend of mine gave me some good advice when I was sixteen and starting to drive. She told me never take a girl there on the first date. I thought this was odd seeing as the Warehouse seemed like the perfect place for a first date. She pointed out that it actually is a good first date spot, but she had already been there on many first dates and she was still only sixteen. Seemed every guy had the same idea. I also miss Max and Erma's and Hoggy's...Mark Pi's China Gate... Donato's Pizza... Any Place That Serves Gyros on Campus... FallRate
  22. OK, I haven't been back to Columbus (home) in over three years and it doesn't look like I'll make it back anytime soon. I'm trying to find out if there is a Spaghetti's (sp?) Restaurant anywhere in Minnesota. I googled and couldn't find a listing for the restaurant in Columbus. Are they still there? If they are, does anyone know how far West the chain extends? I just have a yearning for sour-dough and roasted garlic! Please help. FallRate
