Ah, thought it was interesting to post. We used to have Connie here, as in story, I have jumped from it years ago. The city of Camarillo will soon be getting some sky-high promotion. City Council members have OK'd making a vintage cargo plane Camarillo's official aircraft. The Curtiss-Wright C-46 Commando, also known as the China Doll, is based at Camarillo Airport and maintained by the Commemorative Air Force. "We don't have a bird or a flower, but we have ... airplanes," said Councilwoman Charlotte Craven. In 1997, Camarillo entered into a similar agreement with the Commemorative Air Force. A vintage Lockheed Constellation aircraft was named Camarillo Connie and flew in air shows all over the West. But the plane was sold to a private party and moved to Switzerland, said Pat Brown, public information officer for the Commemorative Air Force. With that plane gone for five years or more, the organization asked City Council members if they were interested in designating the C-46 as the city's new official aircraft. The council agreed, signing off on the agreement at its Wednesday meeting. Camarillo will pay nothing for licensing its name under the agreement, and the city will get promoted at more than a dozen air shows every year. "Wherever we go people ask where we're from," Brown said. Having the new name -- Camarillo Commando -- will help answer that question. She said she is hoping to have Camarillo's logo on the plane in time for the Commemorative Air Force, Southern California Wing's August air show.

Maybe.. Some Caltrans guy (big guy!) ran out after him. However, dude gets in a tinted window (SUV ?). So he stopped because of that. Got partial license plate #, cops found vehicle, no person, did not give use any details as stolen, etc. cop came back later that night, asking for more info. Finds out someone says he got out of another car with kids in the backseat, comes in goes to bathroom comes out, snags purse, hops into other car. Oh, well..kinda excitement there that day. Thought I'd make a post about it! haha

At parttime job. Some guy came in snatched an elderly senior citizen lady's purse. She had over $2000 in it, just came from the bank. Police suspect that she was definetely cased all the way from the bank to McD's. I wasn't there when it happened, it was 15 minutes before I clocked in! Man, I wish I was there to chase the guy down. Didn't think things would happen like that so close to home!

Haha. I keep thinking of Batman series on tv. And an episode of Taxi, when Jim went to see his Father (who was deciding who give a million dollars to) His Dad was same guy(King Tut) on Batman.. Jim looks at him and says" Dad your FAT!"

Frans Star Ranch at Beatty Nevada. The Beech that crashed was from Yolo.....its still sitting there off the runway out by the highway. The last "Whorehouse Boogie" was supported by Van Pray from Cal City in the mid 90s....I was doing tandems. There were some interesting tradeouts being done. Damn...those were some good times. " It was called "The 1st annual Hooker Boogie" West Coast Otter was aircraft, the door came off in flight during the boogie, people landing next to town people, having picnics on the ground, the town supplied coffee and donuts, there was a accuracy contest, landing on a mattress. Got very thermal doing that jump I actually went up ~1000 feet under canopy, a lady also had her dyter go back off during this jump! She wrote this in my log book. Only had three girls working. Yes, I was there..it was along time ago! hahaha Bill Eberly, I think had something to do with the event!

I work parttime in a McDonalds and it is the cleanest one around! I do maintenace there (as in cleaning) I get compliments all the time from elders that eat there daily. And I also help on delivery there when the truck shows up..the food is safe and quality as far as I can see.. I guess I work in one of the better ones. Basically the only thing I really dislike there is some customers..ours is across the street from HS..lots of graffitti and rude teens. I filter the fryers everynight! Change once a week. Can't say "I'm loving it" tho, gets tiring and people customers treat ya like your stupid..little do they know I make ~$600+ amonth extra income there.
