I understand why instructors stay in apartments with 15 people now. I still dont understand why so many travel the globe to do that job. They must really love there work.     Work all day and you might be able to buy a burger at the ski lodge. Instructors don't get paid dick. I heard an instructor at Breckenridge say she was gettin $10hr. but that was a few years ago. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

I got Christmas off last year just because it fell on my normal day off. This is where you lose me. So just because you have kids you think you should automatically have Christmas off? I have family and a wife at home who I would love to spend the day with. But since I dont have kids I should have to work because you do? Buy some ulcer drugs. Your gonna need them as a DZ owner.     Sounds like the same thing I had. My bump was about the size of a golf ball. Fairly large. Sharp pain when pushed on. Doc is gonna look at it and go yup you did it. Then try to push it back in place and cause a lot of pain then tell you surgery is in your future. The surgery is easy as hell. Mine was outpatient, started at 7am and was home by noon. It was a bitch trying to sit up for about 7-10 days. It's no big deal and the pain was minimal. Good luck and heal fast. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

    Which GM obviously was at the time they signed the contract. Oh yea the union said we will destroy you. I highly doubt thats what happened. GM had an option and they agreed to pay what they are now. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

    I don't think we are to that point yet. If unemployment gets to 15% and stuff to that sort I could see that coming in to help. God knows we need roads and bridges to be built so go to it. Erect a couple nuke plants while they are at it. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

    Everyone seems to forget the company signed the contract in the first place. Why did they sign it if they knew they couldnt afford it? Sounds like piss poor management also. I understand. But those workers like my friend didnt demand a million a year. He gets about $23hr. I dont know about you but that sounds pretty reasonable to me. How do you determine what a market wage for skill is in a plant with thousands of workers? Agree with the company on what they can afford? The workers asked for a wage and the company agreed to it. That sounds like market price. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

    WHen those contracts were signed they had money out the ass. Then the SUV and truck market dried up with the rise in fuel. Sounds like the relied to much on one side of the market instead of the broad picture. No I think GM is gettin there ass kicked because they make a shit product. Go to a GM lot and look at the shit thet offer. The Malibu? I also have a few friends in the car plants. One is at the Hummer plant in Indiana and a couple others work up in Lansing. Pay is ok along with the benefits. The pay is nowhere extreme like some on here like to believe. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

    So the union shop gets better benefits and wages. Whats wrong with that? The company agreed to the union contract so why dont you spread some of the blame to them also instead of "It's the UAW's fault". And why is it such a bad thing to want higher wages and better benefits? Why are so many of you out there willing to lower the standard of wages and benefits?     Fair enough. But the same can be said for the auto industry also. Bad management and lack of vision plus a downturn in sales are all factors in the us auto industry screwin the pooch now. But there a lot of people here like to say the unions are the only factor in the downturn. That is another statement that comes from someone who is very near sighted.
