    I do listen. They all say exactly the things I did. I learned from them. I heard what they said. They all urge caution and patience in downsizing. Do I really need 2000 jumps to repeat that information? You think the fact that I have less than 500 jumps means its not appropriate for me to urge caution to someone with only 23 jumps thats gone from a 280 to a 170 in his first 20 jumps? Will it be more appropriate for me to repeat that same exact information after I do 120 more jumps? I'll have > 500 then so I guess so. I went from a 360 to a 210 in about a month :) along with jumoing drogue after 15jumps, night after 20, night drogue w/ 80lb gear bag and oxygen by jump 24... Not the same and I think you know it.     You have made 23 canopy landings….no more than 6 on the same canopy. After 3 jumps on your 170 you feel confident enough to post a review of the canopy. You really don’t have a clue do you? Just another noob with superior skills…..right. Last year around 15 jumpers died landing their canopies and all of them had at least 15 times as many jumps as you do.     I wouldn't use a helmet again if it cracked. It is actually more protection because when the shell cracks the energy dissipates throughout the shell, whereas if you are wearing a pro tec then all the energy from the impact is absorbed by your skull and locally. You don't really understand what you are talking about....do you. The ProTec helmet is certified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Australian/New Zealand Standards for bicycles. No skydiving helmet on the market today is certified by any one for anything. But you are going to buy one for the bling…..quit trying to justify your decision with bull shit.     The very words I live by. On a related note, I bought myself a protec-style helmet for my student jumps, and I still use it. It was second hand, very cheap and very comfortable. I would say go right ahead and buy a helmet which you like and are allowed to use. And can die by. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

    In the early to mid 80’s there was a jumper/balloon pilot that launched from the property just east of the ultra light area at Perris. Before he even started carrying jumpers he picked out potential landing areas based on the prevailing winds. He then spent a couple of days contacting property owners. He ended up with several that agreed to let him use their land. All it cost him was couple of free balloon rides. There is no problem that doesn’t have a solution.     The Baffin jumps were not skydives, they were base jumps. Although base jumping in Canadian National parks is not allowed in Canada, permits have been issued for the park on Baffin island on at least two occasions.
