    I’ve noticed that several posters in this tread list in their profile they are “wing suit instructors”. Who determines who is an instructor? What are requirements to become a “wing suit instructor”? Is there training syllabus or lesson plan of some type the “wing suit instructors” follow or is every man for themselves?     I take it you are a licensed pilot? If so I would suggest you do your own research of the FAA rules on the subject. A good place to start might be FAR Part 105, AC No: 105-2D, and SIM Sec 7.     So you didn’t really see what happened? out! She didn’t fight it until impact…she got her reserve out. You must be looking at a different video…the one posted here didn’t show anything clearly. You have no idea what she was dealing with or why she was that low. You said yourself you were too fare away to see any detail. If you get this worked over something like this it makes me wonder how you deal with other issues that come up in your life.     A friend of mine had to make the decision to take the love of her life off life support after he was brought back at the scene of a skydiving accident. She has informed those who jump with her the most that she does not want to be resuscitated in the event of an accident. Something to think about. If you don't want to be resuscitated for whatever reason, you need to let your friends and family know now. You may want to wear something while jumping that states this as well (MedicAlert bracelet perhaps), since your friends may not be the first responders. In the event your friend does have an incident I would think that EMS would be called. When they arrive this will initiate treatment unless there is a valid “Do Not Resuscitate” statement for the victim on scene. A verbal statement to family and friends is not valid.     I don't know how common it is, but I do know of one individual who jumped the rig of a friend who had bounced (on April Fool's Day, no less). In fact, it became his primary rig. He is still in the sport, has 20,000+ jumps and runs his own Jump School. I don't know what eventually became of the rig, but I doubt he has it any more (the incident occured nearly 40 years ago). Was the dead guy’s last name Fogel**** and the jumper might be JW? Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

    I think that would depend on how you define “blunt object strike”. Impact with the ground is not usually “blunt object”. For mechanism of injury you would be looking at speed of impact, angle of impact and first point of contact. You concern would be with deceleration injuries. These injuries could include a blow out of the aortic arch or tamponade. While these will more than likely prove fatal you have no way of determining if they are present in the field.     When I quit I put both rigs up for sale. The old one sold right away but no bites on the newer one. I gave it to a guy with the same conditions. When he was through with it I wanted it back. It is now with the third noob. I have gotten more enjoyment out of that than any money it would have brought in. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
