If it works so great, why don't you use it in freefall? My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -

Most malfunctions have an embarrassing reason behind them. At least most of mine have. If I make it to Reno I will hold you to that beer. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
Tim, I talked to both of these guys before they did they "demo" and advised them that it was probably not the smartest thing to do. As BillV said, "demo fever" can get you hurt or killed. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Well if it wasn't for the free bag I wouldn't be here to disagree As I said, that’s my opinion, and you are entitled to yours. You are aware that the free bag does not work as advertised? -
Any reason to not have mostly black canopy?

There are only four that where major in my opinion: 1. Three ring release system 2. Hand deploy pilot chute 3. Curved pin. 4. Cypres You could call the development of tandem a fifth. The other stuff is fluff. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
But do you know their names? My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I for one can not say why manufacture do some of the things they do. But having been involved in testing for a number of years I do know why they post limits on the gear. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Your harness/container has a maximum recommended exit weight of 254 at a speed not to exceed 150 KEAS. That means it was tested to 305 pounds at a speed of 180 KEAS. Your reserve has a maximum recommended exit weight of 264 pounds at a speed not to exceed 150 KEAS. That means it was tested to 316 pounds at a speed of 180 KEAS. Note: for your experience level they recommend not to exceed 220 pound. Your main has a maximum exit weight of 299 with a recommendation of 218 for your experience level. All these figures are based on a “standard day” at MSL. The amount of risk you are willing to take is entirely up to you. But if by chance you have a problem, remember that you were advised and knew the limits of the gear before hand. Besides, whats the worst that could happen. Your pilot skills have nothing at all to do with weather or not you reserve will take a terminal deployment at your exit weight. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

The curved pin as we know it today took about 20 minutes to design by two guys who had way more beer than the law allows in the wee hours of the morning in a parachute loft in Perris. It is made of flat stock because when it rotates up to slide out there are only 2 small points of contact with the loop making it that much easier to remove. The type that BillV mentions were copy cat versions of the original. In my opinion it is one of the 4 major improvements in sport gear in the last thirty years. One is a fashion statement the other is an instrument designed for used during freefall to reference your altitude. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
There is a small pocket with the TSO label on it located on the inside of the pin protector flap. What size (R-??.??) is it? That will make it easier to figure out what canopies it can hold. Don't listen to him, what could he possibly know about a Reflex? Mick. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Uh . . . how much do you know about atmospheric pressure and air density? I think the question to be asked is about his fitness and ability to maintain form for that long. If the SR71 can fly at triple digits, why can't he? See above responce in bold. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Awe come on Michael, your a RIGGER, you don't need no stinking space suit! As a matter of fact I am. And you are right, I don't need a space suit because I am not going to jump from above 62,000 feet.

To get a C license you have to meet all the requirements of the A and B licenses. That means taking and passing the test for the A and B licenses. You don’t have to get the licenses but you must meet all the requirements. That seems very obvious My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Reliability of canopies with Flares rather than Direct Line Attach?
mjosparky replied to pchapman's topic in Gear and Rigging
The slider stops for the A line is at the bottom of the flare and for the B, C and D lines they are at the bottom of the stabilizer. I do not have a FC reserve available but I would assume that the slider stops are at the bottom of the flairs also. I have 1500 to 2000 jumps on a Sharpchuter and have never had a problem with the flairs pulling through the slider grommets. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
