  4. Jumping naked on your 100th. is something that started fairly recent. Do the type of jump you want to do, you earned it. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  5. Coming from someone who is afraid to post his name and claims to have 85,000 jumps I would guess that your definition of what a skydive is doesn’t really matter. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

  10. It rained from around 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM the next morning. All the jumps were from 2100 feet and when Zing was flying the turn around time was just over 2 minutes. And you are right Tim, he lost at least 20/25 jumps when one of the planes when down. And he really did 535 but the last one did not count because time ran out when he was under canopy. If anyone doubts his ability to pull this off please PM me and we can discuss a small wager.
  11. You are receiving responses to your original statement. Nothing has changed. And no one has said that it is hard. Rigging is not rocket science. And you are right, if you know the process it is not that difficult. What is difficult is being in a position to learn what that process is. I know of nowhere you can go and take a class or any book you can read. And to add to the confusion, the process can be interpreted differently at different MIDO/MISO’S around the country. (you do know what a MIDO is?) Maybe you think that all riggers should know this information and maybe they should. But as I said before, I would be surprised if one in ten has been exposed to it. If you have been involved in a TSO program in the 4 years you have been in the sport you are a lucky rigger. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  12. You are right, that is one that often gets over looked. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

  15. Tom got his license back in the early 80's and then took a 20 some year break. He only lists the number of years he has been actually jumping. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  16. And I am answering. If the rig has been repacked by a rigger who has determined it is airworthy jumping it would be a mental thing not a physical thing. I have seen harnesses hammer in with a 376 pound torso dummy, nothing out, and still be airworthy. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  17. At 120 mph is when I would think you would want an altimiter you can read. At 10/12 fpc decent rate I would also think you could use your eyes to see how close the ground is. But what the hell, go for what ever makes you happy. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  18. I didn't say that, you did. If you can read you should have seen this part of Mick's post. "Nothing wrong with using a "bounce" rig, as long as it's airworthy. " Get it. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  19. I have no doubt you are a knowledgeable rigger and have put a lot of effort into learning your craft. But I think you would have trouble putting together a test matrix or a test plan to certify a new harness/container design under TSO-C23d. To make it even simpler, put together a list of required drops/jumps indicating which ones can be piggybacked and which ones must be stand-alone test. We will forget all the required documentation necessary. Again, this is not meant to be a slam against you or any other rigger. The fact is very few riggers get the chance to be involved in this type of rigging. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  20. Is that Lizard? I am pretty sure Lizard flew back seat in an F-4. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
  21. I would venture a guess that not 1 in 10 riggers understand the TSO process, what’s involved in getting one or what needs to be done to maintain compliance with a TSO once it is issued. This is not a slam against riggers, it just that there are not many opportunities to be involved in the applying for one. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
