ltdiver replied to Jumperpaula's topic in Relative Work
Welcome, Jeffrey! Case of BEER!!! Your first post here!! Sure miss you guys! Can't wait for Nationals 2002! See ya there! ltdiver (cameraflyer for Otter Limits, Nationals 2001) -
Michele! Good to see you at the DZ today! Your smile, when you rounded the corner from the parkinglot, just lit up the (then cloudy) sky! We saw your first beautiful landing. Fantastic stand-up touch-down! So, how was your 2-way with cptnstratn? Blue Skies and Soft Landings!

Hey, you -do- post once in a blue moon, Rob! Good to see you here. Where were you last Sunday? Missed seeing you at Elsinore. ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

There was a segment on tv last night that profiled a Japanese restaurant that's unique feature was a back room where you go and smash plates against the back wall! The patrons put on what we use for skydiving goggles and just hurl away! They go in pissed off (at something) and come out relaxed and smiling. Kind of cool! Perhaps you could open up something like this in L.A., Michele! I bet there'd be customers lined up around the block for this kind of therapy. So sorry to hear about this identity theft and stress they're giving you. It really sucks! ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

Dude...the ankle weights are my weight belt.

4,000 wind mills -still- isn't enough to lift that piece of ground off the earth to fly! Guess they'll just have to add more? ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

Was your team ever planning on being there to compete? I hear Airspeed is coming from Eloy. Now that would have been fun! ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

Will do, Stacy! Ravenous!...I guess you -do- know Mel!

Yeah...but with this one I don't have to, do I.

For those of you who've been following my posts on my teammate, Barney, here is the latest update! Pneumonia kept him bed ridden in the hospital, on a ventilator and comatose, for 5 weeks. Here is the update from his physical therapist, a skydiver and friend, Gina. Yahoo!!! Our get well wishes are printed and hanging on his hospital room wall. He is amazed at all the support he's recieved! I'm sure that this, along with the fact that he's a skydiver, is what's pulling him through!

I use a weight vest, being light and tall, and it works great for RW. I do, however, have a weight belt that I use when freeflying (just more comfortable with that posture). For the weight belt, I just went down to our local sports store and bought a pair of ankle weights! Two 5# weights strapped together by their own velcro straps works just fine!

So sorry. Blue Ones, Brad and family. ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

Don't know then . I just went to the site and they downloaded fine for me. Took about 5 minutes/each on my 56K modem. Do you have the latest QT? I remember that on my old pc I had an older version that had this same problem. Once I downloaded the newest (free) version they worked just fine. Just a thought, ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

His other ones are in Quick Time format. You can download it for free. Here ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

How long before you felt video proficient?
ltdiver replied to SniperCJ's topic in Photography and Video
Also, in addition to getting your wings inflated, dearch to cup air and side slide into a piece of open air that the team's not in. (I have to use this additional technique since my 'baby wings' don't do much for deflecting air. You get great launches when the team gives you a rhythmic and good count as well. -
Thanks, Jack! ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

Now, I didn't see the rig. Vivaheaddown....what did you get to inspect? Sounds like you have a bit more info than the rest of the group here. ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

This question was asked Sunday night. The DZ said they are not going this way. They'll take care of the repair themselves. ltdiver ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam

15 seconds after exit? (see attachment and please explain) (sitting back and wanting to learn from an engineer...) ltdiver btw, the pilot reported he had done what sbs posted here. Gone straight, then turned for decent. Pat, himself, was still trying to figure it out. Somehow the paths converged. ____________________________________________ LightDiverCam
