Ding...Ding...Ding...! Actually, this is my #1 pick! (if I could afford it). Great car! I had a friend with one (skydiver) and the wuffos who'd come to do a tandem would think that we made ALOT of money with that one sitting in front of the hanger. Actually, the owner of the Boxster was this skydiver's father who lent him the car for the summer while he went on vacation. Palm Springs....oh what a fun DZ that was!

You gonna be my sugar daddy? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You've test driven the RX8?!!! What's it like? It won't be in my neck of the woods until August! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I've heard this from friends, but I just can't seem to see myself in a little box like that. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Guess you missed the post where it was mentioned that my car got totaled 9 days ago. (guy ran a stop sign and plowed into the side of my car going about 30 mph). I need a car -now-. Rental cars just don't cut it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You talking Mercedes?! Know any sugar daddy for me? btw, forgot to mention Honda Civic in the poll above. Add that to the list. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ok. I've spent the last 7 days test driving new 2003 cars after work. Kind of fun, playing with the salesmen and watching their eyes light up when they realize I'm seriously in the market to replace my 1998 Mustang GT. The list above are the cars I've driven so far. And the list is complete (IMO) of the series I'm considering, I believe. I'm still undecided, though. Each car has it's own positives. And so, I'm posting here for your input. Help a fellow car enthusiast out and give me some feedback here. Your choice, positives on your choice, and negatives on any others. I'm needing to replace my rental car -this week-. Thanks! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Deep, dark red. They called it "Torino Red". Kind of like the color on my camera suit. So, who's been talking? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Congrats on your new job! Will you be able to make it down to the next FBFFF? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah...beautiful car! However, the lowest price I saw at 2 Nissan dealers was $37,000+. I looked, though! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I've seen Randy Jackson's (rjackson) Honda hybrid car. I -still- don't know HOW he fits in that little roller skate! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This was at the 'new' (2 week old) stop signs they placed on Case Rd where it crosses Goetz in Perris. STILL don't know why they put the f*@#**^#*ckn stop signs there! This guy lives in Sun City and probably didn't even know they were there until too late. No, no ass kicking....I was just dazzed and going through the motions while the cops were there. You really know who your friends are, though, when people coming to and from the DZ stopped to lend a hand. I actually felt a bit sorry for the guy...he was all alone and my circle of friends kept growing by the minute. As for the convertible. That would be nice. California is the place to enjoy that...even in the winter, huh! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I want my baby back! I test drove the Eclipe GTS, the Toyota Celica, the Honda Civic , a used Honda Prelude (nice, but wasn't stick), the Acura RSX (nice but looks like it wants to be a VW bug in the front end), the new Ford Mustang (I don't fit in it...the ceiling is too low! )....kind of gives you a feel for it.... I liked some of the cars, but not sure about what else might be out there in this line. Also, haven't had time to sit down and look at the consumer reports and crash test results. On my car, yeah...the frame was bent...the axel broken...the side panel destroyed, both air bags deployed...the rim, disc and hub smashed...wish I had pictures to show but they haven't arrived yet. (keep forgetting to take the roll to the developers. My mind's just not in gear this week). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

104,306 miles is what my baby had on it when someone decided to total it this past saturday. Taking my turn for the 3-way stop sign dance when a truck decided to round the corner and blow through his stop sign at 30 mph, just in time to smash through my '98 Mustang GT... I've been in a bit of shock since then, and healing up a strained neck (which is still popping), bruised shoulders, and head contusion....until this afternoon when I got the news that my car was a total loss....$12,000 worth of damage! I had that car from before it's conception at the factory. Now I'm depressed and angry at the same time. No baby...no wheels (well, my insurance is paying for a clunker for 2 more days)....got to get some transportation lined up and bought this week. Sigh....so, guys, what should I buy out there? I've been test driving today and haven't come up with anything -close- to being the right thing. I've gone to Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, Acura.....still researching here.... What should I get? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, if you compare film scan + Shutterfly to printing that same negative at a color lab, then it's apples to apples. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
-
Not from your digital camera, but from when you uploaded scanned negatives to Shutterfly 2 years ago.... I have the two prints you did of my cameraflying....one from when -you- printed it yourself at work.....and one that you let Shutterfly do for me (as presents for my family's Christmas). The ones that -you- printed came out alot sharper and with much more true color than the ones that Shutterfly did. If you'd like, i can bring the two to Perris and show you the difference in person. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

How did you get involved into skydiving?
ltdiver replied to robskydiv's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The 'seed' as was stated, was planted by an orthotic fitter while we were standing over a comatose patient in a hospital. I asked what he did before working with the brace industry and he stated he was a tandem instructor at Elsinore! 2 years later, I remembered that and booked my first tandem for a 'joy ride'. 7 years and 1500+ jumps later I haven't stopped. I've always wanted to find that guy and thank him for a new life he unknowingly presented me with that day. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
skydancing, Pat Works, Skratch... today?
ltdiver replied to ScratchTX's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Haven't seen Pat for a few weeks, but he frequents Perris quite often. But yes, he still travels around and might turn up in some out of the way place unannounced and for your pleasure. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Hey, at least you're running!! There are -some- people that just slide it in like they're a tandem coming in for the grass stains. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Jump #548 and -after- I had earned my AFFI rating. (well, they needed a JM who had more than one usable talent, so I stuck a camera on my head and started to practice...actually flew video slot for quite a few jumps without a camera on my head to get the feel and angle before added that helmet.) I encourage those who are thinking of flying with this contraption on their head to do that as well. Really lets you know -where- your body flying skill level is -before- adding the risk that a camera helmet brings with it inherently. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

A million sit-ups? Can I tell my whining patients that? There's a few that can't imagine they have to WORK at getting better! Thanks for the feedback

I like this solution! (guess I'm just lazy ) I admire those who like to sew (men included, AggieDave), but I just don't have the patience or stomach to sit down and just sew. I actually dated a guy a few years back that loved to create and sew skydiving stuff. It was GREAT! He was quite talented, too. One camera suit he modified to have long pant legs or shorts (depending on the season) and he'd just take the legs off or on depending on his mood. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
