OK, my cypress is up for its 8 year. Now I just have some random questions. How long does it usualy take? Have you ever heard of barrowing a cypress untill it returns? What is the average cost? I am so board at work today. I know it is a good thing with me working the a peds ICU and all. But I am losing my mind. We have 5 patient, the most interesting one went home ( a skydiving injury) and nothing to do. I have check the forums probably 200 time and have read probably everything.......you all have interesting lives. Well just thought I would tell you what was up in my neck of the woods. I crossed posted it in CRW I did some crw jumps and really loved it and had some questions. How is a retractable pilot chut retraced and how is it attached? What do they mean when the say take out the cascades, does that mean you have more lines? I fly a triathlon now and want to get a second one. I just want to know how to set it up. Well I think I screwed my self as far as skydiving goes. I got into my medic school and now I realize that I will have tuns of money ( fasfa, loans, student aid, scholarships, and tuition reimbursement), but no real time to jump It is going to be like that for a year or so. Very depressing. BUt I have to do it, it equals more money in the long run. Just thought I would share my joy and sadness "I Yam what I Yam" I am not afriad to die, only to die without living.

I just got all my own gear and am having a problem. I was on F-111 canopys when I was a student, a skymaster to be exact. Now I am on a ZP Triathlon and am having problems with the two stage flare. When I was on the SM it was easy, you put it down as far as you sould and you could get a good landing. I have about 12 jumps on my new stuff and slam in about 3 outa 5 times. My PLF is coming along greatly, but I don't think that is where the work needs to be done. Can anyone help? "I Yam what I Yam" I am not afriad to die, only to die without living.

I wish i could give more info. I am only giving you what I was told. i don't want to make any of my own assumtions. I am not sure about the drouge. I know on a previews jump it did have a problem deploying. i was told it was a error in how it was stiched. wish i could be more help. I saw my first reserve ride yesterday, and it was a tandem. After talking to the TM, exit was fine, freefall-good. The canopy opened great, but had a manufacture error and split in the center cell. They chopped it and the reserved it down. It was pretty neat to see and the TM did everything right from what I was told. The customor got a free jump and a reserve ride.......I have had neither. just some gear questions for a new guy. I just went out and bought my own gear and wanted to know some things. Is it okay to take your altimeter on a com airline? does the 30000+ altitude mess it up? Do you ever have to wash your rig and how? How can you tell if you need new lines? Does the rig go carry on or checked? What info should I keep in case it gets stolen? I know I have more, just can't think of them. I will come back and ost them when I can. I know they sound like stupid questions, but remember there is no such thing. Please be nice. This is a very newbie question. I have my A, and I am very close to my B. My question is, is there a progression card I need to fill out, or what is the deal? Is it just the B application form I found in the back of my SIMS? I believe it to be, but I wanna get things moving before they up the jump number to 200.
