You'd probably get better response over in the Freeflying forum rather than S&T.

The disparity in the views versus clicks may come from people like myself, who have over a hundred jumps, but no license.......so I wen't ahead and clicked "Student." Just seems every weekend I'm at the DZ wanting to get my A-License card signed and worked on everyone's too busy.... Oh well.....I've still been able to jump where-ever I go, including Deland....

What is this Safire mod some people have been talking about???? Just bought one, put about dozen jumps on it loaded at 1.4 and havent had the first problem landing it.....single or double stage flare.
-
Safire 149 @ about 1.38 if you use marked size, or closer to 1.48 if you consider that it's bout 7% smaller than the comparable PD Sabre 170 I was flying... Which measurement should I use.... Currently at 101 jumps....

How about the PD Navigator, sure it get's ripped for being labeled a student canopy, however it's a great combo: 9 cells, ZP Top/F111 bottom. Fly's and lands like a Sabre, but is easy to pack. Couple months ago we had an almost 80 year old guy out at the DZ that had been jumping for over 50 years and this was his canopy of choice. Plus they make it in a 200sq. ft. flavor.... Only downside being less name brand recognition, hence lower re-sale value?

I've gotten so much response from this ad I posted late sunday night, that it's only tuesday morning and I'm gonna have to remove it until I can sort through it all. I've enjoyed every experience I've had with the classifieds here at dz.com. I've bought one main from them, and am in the process of buying a container and reserve. Gotta love it..... Ben

I'm the seller of this canopy. I bought this canopy not knowing how many jumps were on it, although I believe it is well under a thousand jumps as the canopy was kept in storage by the original owner (DZO of Skydive Williston) for quite a while. The repairs were done by PD, and they thought it was worth my while to spend the $450 (including the re-line) on them. I set my asking price low knowing that someone would be weary of buying a patched canopy. Ben T.

2nd Solo Jump, Nice picture, shows the canopy looking like it was just placed there, although you could tell I actually did the jump, I wasn't aware enough of my terrestrial surroundings to take the darn googles off for the pic.....

A nice purple and yellow Sabre 170 loaded at 1.25 that I found in the Classifieds right here.... Choose it because I think it will be a good learning canopy for a while as I'm just another poor college skydiver....

It's too bad the FBI shut down the upstanding kid site, www.gunsforkids.com While only investigating www.bonsaikitten.com , and the pictures look so convincing..... Bummer.....

I live in Tallahassee, FL and had to fly into DC (Reagan National) and got the best deal off www.priceline.com $80 for tickets from Jacksonville to DC with about 4 days notice... The downside to priceline being that they tell you what time during the day you have to fly (you pick the dates and the airport)... Worked for me.... Ben T.
