  1. And of course all the whuffos at the pool probably think shes some weirdo wearing kiddie arm bands and learning to swim! but seriously, how much can it really help you? When you do different positions, the water won't make you move at all... couldn't you just lie on your floor and practice the positions? MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. first couple of minutes... boring. last couple of minutes... absolutely hilarious! I liked the guy with the ear protectors. MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. Sir, I represent the LUAJ, Lawyers United Against Jokes, and my clients find your joke offensive, slanderous, and bigoted. We are suing you for one hundred million billion dollars for Libel. ok bad joke, but its late and I'm tired and confused. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. what a retard! did the guy who owns the rig jump there? that would have been great for him to walk in right then and seen the asshole who stole his rig trying to sell it. MB 3528, RB 1182

    TV shows....

I found the best show ever a couple months ago. Its called "Scare Tactics"... people set up their friends, and the show hires actors, and makes up a scary situation, in which the friend has no idea its not real. The last one I watched: A guy who just moved to the U.S. from Korea gets a job from a friend of his: to sweep up a cemetary after hours. So hes sweeping up stuff when one of the coffins laying around starts barely wiggling... and of course it stops moving as soon as he looks at it. Eventually, he turns around in time to catch a hand poking at a hole in the coffin. He yells for his supervisor, an actor, who goes and checks out the noise... then a corpse jumps out and attacks him... and the korean guy starts freaking out and trying to attack the corpse... its hilarious! another one: A "cop" (actor) finds a dead body in the guys trunk, and of course the guy is freaking out, thinking he's about to get arrested. good stuff. anyways, its on the SciFi channel, in the worst time slot: 9pm-10pm eastern. if anyone knows where to download the episodes, PM me please! 9. I know exactly how you felt, man. I made about 70 jumps all at a 1 C-182 DZ, and so there was only 3 other jumpers in the air with me, and we all knew what size canopies and wingloadings we had, so we all knew who was going to land first, etc. Then I went to a couple DZs with full twin otter loads, about 20-25 people, and I was nervous as hell that we would all be flying our canopies 20 feet away from each other, and colliding every 5 seconds. But landing at a large DZ is actually very easy. Usually, they set a landing pattern, ex: right-hand, and everybody lands that one way. The swoopers generally get down before you, and they have a designated swooping area. Also, when everybodies canopies start opening, usually jump run is so long that you never even get close to someone else under canopy. All you gotta do is listen to the landing instructions very carefully, make sure that you understand them, even if it means getting 10 different people to explain them, and once your canopy opens, quickly check around you and prepare to make a quick rear riser turn to avoid other canopies. Its much easier then I thought it would be before I jumped at a large DZ. MB 3528, RB 1182
  10. I just wanted to say thats a cool looking rig you got going... is it my imagination, or is the tie-dye part of it also irridacent? (sp?) does it have a metallic sheen, or is it just the photo? MB 3528, RB 1182

  12. Offspring- "The Kids ain't Alright" I think it may have another title as well, but its definitely by Offspring, from their "Americana CD", track 5 I believe. MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. I have an old school Javelin. DOM 93 I think... Pro: Price. Good resale value. Mostly freefly friendly (it has tucktabs, but only velcro bridle protection-- however thats just a $30 modification away) Cons: Color- its got some pink on it--ewww, but it helped bring the price down some. If it was stolen... I would probably be happy with a used Javelin again, but they are too expensive when new. Otherwise, I would probably look at wings and mirage G3. Everything else is kinda expensive for a college guy like myself. MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! why did I have to leave for 5 minutes?! (crying noises) MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. hate to say it man, but if thats Sung Hi Lee, then those do have some plastic in them. I heard it from E! news that hers are fake. but at least she kept them in a reasonable size. I think those huge 46 ZZ knockers are disgusting... plus, they will drag on the floor once she hits 60 MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. ahhhhh mardi gras... is there anything you can't make people do?
  17. I just watched it from skydivingmovies.com, and that narrarator and the student are so freaking strupid and wrong when they comment about the tape!! Idiot student is busy geeking camera, and so main side instructor guides his hand to his hip... student reaches up and pulls cutaway handle, then drops it. Instructor pulls main chute ripcord at about same time. Narrator: He yanks the cord, his chute opens, then it breaks away! Thats right, his freaking chute rips off! Me (screaming at computer): Well, duh! He cut it away dumbass! He yanked the wrong fucking cord! Student: They train you for all kinds of problems... I don't think they ever trained me for what happens if your whole chute disappears. (laughs) Me: You dumbass! YOU cut it away! (slow-mo shot of student pulling the cutaway handle) Student: I deployed the chute... the next second the chute was going away. Me: You didn't deploy crap!!! All you did was cut away a good main. (after student takes a long time to pull silver) Narrator: His reserve chute FINALLY opens. I understand hes a first jump student, but surely when instructors got him on the ground, they told him and showed on the video how he pulled the wrong cord! What pisses me off so much is that he tries to make it sound like he did nothing wrong, that it was all the parachutes fault. AND fox goes right along with him!!! Why couldn't have fox just said, "He got confused and pulled the handle that cutaway his chute" ?!?!?! ok I'm done [/rant] MB 3528, RB 1182

    Good Deal?

that sounds like a pretty good deal to me... that is, if the cypres isn't old, and it doesn't need maintance/batteries. Just the rig for $2500 would be a fair price, so I think with the extras, you should probably grab it. The sabre 150 sounds ok, with a wingloading of 1:1, but I've never seen you land. I'm also not an instructor, so I'll leave it to the canopy nazis to decide if this is a good wingloading or not. Ask your instructors to watch you land on your next few jumps, and let them decide if you are ready for a smaller canopy. A sabre 1 is fine... you just have to be a little more careful in packing it, to make sure it opens softly. MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. jesus this guy is a sick f*ck... 12 year old girls?!?! And read the article, he gave a 9 year old girl flavored sex lube! MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. yes but CO2 is used in the body to regulate blood chemistry... it forms Carbonic Acid, H2CO3, which forms a buffered solution in your blood, and keeps your blood at the proper pH. If your blood pH is too far off from its normal level, 7.4, you will die. a really good link about this, which explains all about blood chemistry and CO2, is http://wunmr.wustl.edu/EduDev/LabTutorials/Buffer/Buffer.html MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure that when you mix sulfuric acid with bleach, you get Chlorine gas... very toxic, they used it as a chemical weapon during WWI. In fact, check http://starbulletin.com/1999/11/26/news/story3.html its about how chlorine gas formed after bleach and sulfuric acid were mixed. MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. And when the oxygen atoms form O3, aka ozone, it causes resperatory distress, and in high enough concentrations, death. Gives new meaning to the term "Ozone damage" Also did you know that lack of sleep causes death? It takes around 10 days, and you end up dieing from massive bacterial infection. MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. I heard about that. I feel sorry for all the people he killed... what a way to go. MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. more human body trivia: Carbon Dioxide is deadly in concentrations over 10%, but if you don't get any you will die. Giving pure oxygen to newborn babies will make them go blind. Over 70% of heat loss in the human body is through the head. so perhaps its possible to do naked jumps in alaska in winter, as long as you just wear a good hat. MB 3528, RB 1182
