  1. I find it funny that you are assuming that they were innocent. The guy that was IN the situation thought they were a threat...The judges that just rulled thought they were a threat. I am willing to bet that the guy that was there, and the judges that just rulled have TONS more information that you do. See if the judges had found him guilty, I would assume that he was guilty since the judges have info I don't have.... Why is it impossible for you to assume he was justified? Other than your constant "the US can't do right" thinking? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. You have just answered my question that I asked here.... I will stick to teaching one hand on each handle...But to add pull the cutaway till you are released, not just right, automatic left. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  3. Sorry the quote is "Thats not flying! It's falling with style" And its from Woody after Buzz did the "Flying" around the room ending on the bed. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. No, what made it ok was they were just shooting from inside a mosque...Ya know trying to kill people from a house of worship....Ya know that according to the Geneva that you can't use a house of worship as a base for combat....Oh, and you are not allowed to boobie trap bodies...Both of these are things that the terrorists do. So if they will break one rule, and they have in the past broken another....Chances are they will continue. It was a good shoot. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  5. Actually yes. I would not be happy, but in a combat situation with an enemy known for boobie trapping bodies, and suicide detonations of IED's when the shooter tries to offer aid or capture the wounded....I'd understand it. In this case the enemy is quite well known for suicide bombs and they even offer to "surrender" then open fire. If our troops used the same tactics and the roles were revesed....I would not be up in arms about it.. so much for you knowing me huh? Right but given the choice of listening to the US judges, or the terrorists....I'll go with the US judges. You it seems would rather just assume that the US and its troops are bad and evil. Ever served in the Military? Even been in a situation where you were going to be shot at? If not, don't pretend to know. You are right about one thing...no level of punishment would have been enough anyway. you and your type will demand more. The terrorists will not care about this trooper, or Englands jail sentance. They will just strap exposives on and kill an American...Even if they the person they kidnap and kill was a Red Cross aid worker. We at least kill the ones that were just trying to kill us. 6. Its all in what you train. I used to just "right-left" it. And it was clear when I practiced. I now visualize the cutaway and "feel" the drop before I pull left. I have been thinking that maybe I will teach pull and strip from now on....But I really don't like not having the hand on the silver before you break away. 7. Oh it happens..... The problem is not this line of thinking...It is the folks that "Shop" for the answer they want. They then latch onto that answer and ignore any that do not fit in the scope of what THEY WANT. A guy asks, "Do you think I will be fine on a "X" wingload?" He gets 7 replies. 6 tell him no, and one says yes. He latches onto the yes and ignores the no's.... It happens a lot more than you think. 8. You forgot the"I pull it till I get both risers to release" option. You don't need to clear the cables, you only have to pull till *both* risers release. On a Javelin it is supposed to be 5 1/2 inches past the loop. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. Really? Snotty silver spoons, the Baldwins, and wefare family's = Kerrys voting base One stupid person does not equal a "base". "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

  11. The USPA has about 30,000-35,000 Members some of those do not even jump. There is no market. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  12. Seems like the human rights was just fine...A soldier shot a bad guy. The judges seem to not have a problem with it. Of course some will claim he should be draw and quartered. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. Well while the choice is of course yours... Steve Jobs did the same thing. Bill Gates did the same. I think most of their folks did OK. 15. Glad I could amuse you...Not my intent...My intent was to point it out when you cry about stuff. Ya know like when you claim "Second class citizen" When you have the SAME rights I do. GM....quiet. Don't spoil the surprize... 16. I would love to be in a position with some clout. Everytime this dumbass tries to do something like this I would wave a copy of her gun permit, and hand out copies to the press. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. There is not a thread there. I checked. I would hate for the lesson (if there is one) to be lost. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    Grip Color

OK...Well while true, not that big of a deal. Black Jumpsuits with white gloves are the best for video....But, look at the top teams at nationals... The top teams had mostly dark JS... Majic had Blue with red and white stripes on the grips. GK had black with GOLD grips. Blade all black Fastracks black with blue grips. Seems to not be THAT big of a deal. No offense, but I doubt you will be going so fast that its gonna make a difference. My last two JS were black...Partly for the video, but mainly cause I have no color matching skills. Get what you think looks good, worry about the little things like color of grips when you are trying to win the nationals.. BTW I am also a USPA judge. 20. I understand that...I have jumps at 2.6, PRO rated ect... What I don't understand is how a canopy that is planed out can lose lift. Being on the leward side of a hill COULD do it....But it would have to be a big hill. A better description (if possible) of the factors might be able to prevent someone else from this same accident. Also, while protecting your body is a great idea. Dropping the toggles may not be the best course of action. 21. The original CYPRES did not have a life span either...Then it did. Electronics fail after long enough. How many out there have a 12 year old TV? They are gonna cost about the same even in the long haul as Terry explained. So, while the VIGIL may be slightly less expensive in both original purchuse and MX....It also does not have the 12 year history of CYPRES. 22. 1st sorry to hear. 2nd I don't understand this:According to people who saw the video, it seemed that William started to flair and realized he had no lift and that he was going to strike the hill going very fast. Can anyone explain this to me? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  23. Id like to see the anti gun types comment on this I'll start with christelsabine since I have PMed her and asked her to comment. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. Which is still more than most companies. And say what you will 170 MILLION is 170 MILLION. There is health insurance....Just like other companies it is expensive. Better not ask what I do for a living. How is that the fault of Wal-Mart? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  25. See you are wrong...I treat him as he ASKS to be treated. I know plenty of folks that are gay..they do not wear it like a red badge of courage. They don't mope about claiming that "the man" is destroying them. And even when they do...They don't take any chance to claim they are being treated like second class citizens. Before you respond...Ask yourself this: Since Narci is NOT MUSLIM....Why did he answer the way he did?
