    If you don't mind it looking a little 'ghetto', just go to your local auto parts dealer and buy some big assed car washing sponges. Cut them down to fit around your gear. You may need to glue some together with a hot glue gun to the get the width you need, but with a bit of time, you can make it look pretty neat. The density of the foam is great for this type of thing and it's certainly a lot cheaper!

    Lena, if you still don't feel comfortable flying a wingsuit, and even you yourself are admitting you shouldn't be jumping one yet, why are you still doing it? Why not take the wingsuit off for a couple hundred more jumps, have some fun in the air, then look at flying again when you're a bit more ready?     As mentioned in another thread, don't buy ANY wingsuit yet, no matter how good the deal is. There is zero point buying one as you're not ready to jump one yet.

    Seriously... spend all your money on making some skydives first. Enjoy jumping out of a plane for a while, it's pretty damn amazing. Then, when you have 4 times the number of jumps you currently have, ask the question again. Have a read of the FAQ's at the top of this forum and stay safe

    Seriously, just having the required number of jumps to wingsuit, then only doing 50 before wanting to jump one on a HALO is not the greatest idea in the world HALO jumps are fun, i did one at the WFFC a few years back from 31K, although it was a little bit chilly up there. The instructor wrote the outside temp in the ice INSIDE the plane... -58. Brrrrrr! As others have said, unless you were He-man, you're not going to sustain 40mph from 30K. It has been done though, aside from the countless military tests that Scott Campos has done to keep us safe from baddies , by a UK jumper - Adrian Nicholas when he set the record for the longest time in free fall.
