On the serious side.....the deals sounds pretty good - congrats. On the light side.......I enjoy the "maintenance free" miles as opposed to turning wrenches lol. Enjoy!

Hehehe - not laughing at the story but rather the video.

Hunting is fine only if you eat what you shoot........did plenty of it growing up. Putting down an animal in misery is O.K. too. Hunting is not a sport unless you arm the game with guns and they get to shoot back. With meat being plentiful in the grocery stores, I have neither needed nor wanted to hunt for quite a few years now.

I'm 6'4".......tall women are definately O.K. by me.

Excellent thinking . As all other bike owners, I'm particular and protective of it............when younger, I would have made a big scene.....being physical was all my one or two brain cells could understand. Now what you did is a class act - I would do the same.

A warrior........heart and soul.

I was once a very good boy. You are 30% Pure! (Very interesting.) Here's how the REST of the world breaks down, compared to you: people less pure than you (4%) people like you (0%) people more pure than you (96%) Based on the 14,295,641 submissions before you.

Same here my friend.

I want pics of you riding your motorcycle with your rig on
Luv2Fall replied to cvfd1399's topic in The Bonfire
Well, here's the bike.......no rig. I'm leaving my rig with the student rigs this weekend......just ride with my other stuff in a back pack. -
Well dude, I do or rather I did hold a Belt Belt.......before my diagnosis in 96 and subsequently my total retirement from it all. My opinion may not be "expert" but they do reflect my experience. It was, indeed, an interesting ride. My wife throughly enjoys kicking my ass these days. Edited to add pic.

Hehehehe - that certainly isn't something you see everyday.
-
Hehehehehe - I avoid every once of it.

Understood Aggie Dave - Didn't mean to hijack "ms?" this thread but I throughly enjoyed the good conversation.

Bill Wallace is a character and still quite flexible.......if this is the same Bill we are talking about "Super Foot?". I've met him on several occaisions to include Jeff Smith, Joe Lewis and Keith Haflich who now is deceased - was shot. Back in the late 70's I was Keith's sparring partner while I was a teen.........he almost, while suffering from whiplash, took the United States Light Heavyweight Title from Jeff Smith.......it was a close fight. Dan Wilson was his trainer then and mine as well. As for Jeff Speakman, he possesses incredible speed unlike anything the average person has ever seen. My wife's comments "what else can he do with those hands" lol...........he does seem to be a incredibly nice guy. Wow.......I have to check out Larry.......it's been a while.
-
Gotta say Kenpo is pretty good.......designed to fit the individual..........key in many things. Ed Parker trained a lot of good people. My wife loves Jeff Speakman lol.

I with ya to a degree, truly am. Having said that, I've seen a martial artist or two totally lose it in the street away from the sterile environment of the dojo.....on the ground before they could think, they were "finished". Situations vary and I've seen what you are talking about work effectively also. MA, here in American - to a large degree - is "sports" oriented.........a lot has been forgotten. At the same time, it should be progressive relative to different street senarios "ms?". My personal thoughts and experience.....mixed MA, period.

When love beckons to you follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions May wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams As the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth So is he for your pruning. The Prophet by Gibran Khalil Gibran

I quit being useful years ago.

When mixed martial art competition came about, the BJJ stylists dominated the scene and destroyed a lot of myths. Hehehehe - submission techniques found in BJJ is second to none. You're right, when you go to the ground you can throw all this fancy ineffective crap right out of the window.

Ain't gonna happen..........at least during our lifetime.

Yep - Dan (BlackBelt) in Okinawan Kempo Karate Also studied boxing, wrestling, American Karate and Judo - over 20 years worth. Disclaimer - I haven't done any of the above in over eight years save what I taught my sons. If you're serious about self-defense, go with a grappling "art"........particulary BJJ. Anyone who has any amount of street fighting experience knows that grappling rules...chances are you're going to the ground, particularly one on one. With multiple attackers.............run lol. Edited to add: A good street fighter can go through the typical martial artist as if he wasn't there. Give a good deal of thought what you want to study...............
