  1. PC 330 sidemounted on FF2 with a 0.2 lens and love it.
  2. Sony PC330 (discontinued model) and Sony HC1000 has 37mm threads.
  3. Hey Doug Well be down there from March 24th to the 30th. Also staying in the IHOP. Greg is going to welcome and brief us on Perris and cover the safety aspects. You are more than welcome to join us.
  4. Have mine loaded @ 1.7 and been getting decent swoops out of it for a non X-braced canopy (sea level). At higher altitude (5000 ASL) I notice that it really drops out of the sky. I haven't loaded one at >2.0 yet
  5. Going to be down there from the 24th to the 30th. Hope to see you there.
  6. Just wondering if a waycool blackeye (X) 0.25 lens mounted on a Sony PC330 side mounted to a FF2 helmet will catch the edge of the helmet in the frame view. Also is there any vignetting with this combo?
  7. Rodeo Teras the other day with Zoolander and Kevin as wingmen having no problem keeping up in a track right beside us. Like to leed more tracking dives like this. We'll have to talk when your back in Vancouver Racko Rodriguez
  8. A new Triathlon 150 I use to own also opened fast. I ended up rolling the nose by taking the three cells on one side of the center cell and rolling them inward 3-4 times and repeating the process for the other three cells on the other side of the center cell. The center cell I would push back into the pack job and make sure my slider was pulled out and inch or two past the rolled nose. I rolled the tail about 4-5 times. After the chute had a hundred jumps on it, I noticed that I had to roll the nose less.
  9. Birdman I to had negative comments thrown my way when packing my Katana at the freedom jam. Again I don't know the Icarus rep. (I know it wasn't Brett or Wyatt). When another jumper trying to arrange a demo asked me a question about the Katana, our conversation was interrupted with all "the negative thing about the Katana". The rep then asked me if I ever flown a Crossfire-2. I told him that the crossfire-2 at his feet also belongs to me. I was "ignored" after that remark. LOL.
  10. I'm in. Hoping to leave Thrusday to beat the road rush.
  11. Just recently a skydiving brother has passed away from a hit and run accident. The family wishes to have his ashes scattered during a skydive. I'm looking for info. on a device to hold and deploy his ashes in freefall. Any ideas on how to sew up such a device would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Neither Going to Chico Hotsprings Montana for a little boogie this weekend. Where else can you see them stop traffic so they can land a King Air on the highway and your within walking distances of the hotsprings or your room.
  13. I used a PVC underground sprinkler hose and a line connector to join the two ends together. This you can get this cut to any length at a building supply store. The seam was a folded seam. This prevents the nylon cut from fraying. ie.same seam used on your canopy. For handles I set my tube up for both sitflying and headsdown. I used a old pair of risers so I can cut away the tube in headsdown because it is attached to my ankles. When sitflying I just join the two risers with a quick connector so I can just hang onto it. I would suggest you make the tube a little longer than the length of your canopy and lines to prevent a wrap. You can always shortened it if you desire later. When hemming the end of the tube I triple folded it. This end of the tube takes a lot of wind abuse. If you have questions or would like some pics of certain parts of the tube. Just contact me at: sonicfreefly@hotmail.com
  14. It looks like your cat can already carve really well.....
  15. My Tri 150 loaded at 1.1 did open quite quick when it was new. I rolled the nose in from each side about 3-4 time leaving the centre cell open. Also pulled the slider out past the nose 2-3 inches. This did slow the openings down to 500 to 800 ft. After about 200 jumps I found I only needed to roll the nose in about 1-2 times.
  16. Just a quick hi and welcome to dropzone.com Hopefully I'll see you at Pitt Meadows this summer.
  17. Nathaniel I just sold my rig to someone in Florida and I live in Canada. I requested a bank draft or money order. When it arrived I had the bank verify it and made sure the money was in my account before shipping the rig off.
  18. If your human, breathing is a good idea. If your an amphibian in freefall (ie.frog or salamander) you might get away by breathing through your skin for awhile.
  19. If your main is really tight in the container, someone suggested to me to leave it unpacked at the end of the day, and do a fresh repack when your ready to use it again. This will prevent the container from stretching.
  20. Both handles blue, with "PLAN B" on reserve handle. A good thing to keep in mind to is that your handles may sit a little higher than where you expect them to be in a partial mal.
  21. I had an offer on my rig and told this person who is in Florida to send me a money order and I would send the rig. When I received a personal check with a different name than the guy I was dealing with a few alarm bells went off. I phone him to ask what was going on, he said the check was written by his roommate that owes him money. I told him to Fed Ex a money order again. He emailed me back and said the check has been sent by his bank, so far no check. If this money order Quotedoesn't show up soon, I too may pass this personal check onto the authorities to be checked out.
  22. I was wondering if anybody has owned or jumped both the Mirage G3 and G4 with both hip and chest rings, and what is your opinion or preference on these two rigs?
