  1. haaa That just made my morning... Double Cheese Burger... Shit...
  2. I love GQ Jumper like he was a 12 year old boy... Oooopps did I just type that? Just kidding, and no I have no afilliation with NAMBLA
  3. Have it shipped to me, and I'll call you DSN!!! Here's what it will sound like... Damnnnnn... AAAhhhh SHiittttt.. THAt was the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! OH man you are missing the greatest video in the world!!! Sucks to be you since you can't see this shit!!! HHHAAAAAA HAAAAAAAA AAAAAA
  4. Obviously I have missed the point. Have fun and be carefull.
  5. Odviously you are missing the point. A 120 is still going to be faster than a 150 of the same make and model, and wing loading. I has shorter lines, and less material over head, causing less drag, causing faster speeds.
  6. Move your router to the highest point in the house Remember it's a radio, and it works with line of sight). Also move it away from large metal objects, and appliences. Appliences tend to make a lot of electrical noise. If you move your computer closer to the router do you get better reception?
  7. Dude, Dont stoop to his level.
  8. Didn't they make a 75 for awhile there? If PD did, I think he should look for one of those. The 4 extra square feet is just drag, and he doesn't need the drag if he wants to go far right?
  9. Hey dummy, read your post again. You said Racers are inferior the first time. ...tells me you don't your ass from the hole you're probably gonna leave in the ground someday. With that dumbshit attitude. And I was talking about your statement that square parachutes are 'safer' than rounds. Are you daft, man! Square parachutes have an inherently better glide ration and the ability to provide lift on landing and their pack volume is less, respectivley, etc. But they are no more dangerous and no safer than a round parachute. Check the figures, dummy and then take up golf before you hurt yourself or someone else. Hey Dude, Watch your tone. Getting mad at someone over the internet is a worthless pursuit. It just makes you look bad. Please watch your tone and your language.
  10. Ok, Go back and take a look at your post. You are wanting to go from a Springo 160 to a velocity. Assuming you get a velo 120 (which is the biggest velo they make) you would be dropping 40' of material from over your head. You would also be changing from 9 cell to a 7cell cross braced canopy. It is generally accepted that it's not the best idea to downsize, and change planforms at the same time. Now I'm going out on a limb here, but are there not extended periods or time in Northern Europe when you can not jump due to weather? A velocity is a canopy that you may not want to go uncurrent on. So now that you are armed with the knowledge that I have given you, what canopy do you think you should get?
  11. Just because a canopy has the same name (chaos) and a few more cells, doesn't mean that they are the same. Any 21cell and 27 cell canopy are going to be quite different.
  12. What's with all of this drama about CPC in TEXAS? It sounds like the dz's bickering here in Colorado?
  13. I would have to say I'm somewhat conservative. I try to do the same thing everytime, so that I'm consistant. This not only helps me, but other people get used to what I do on every jump. In the back of their minds, they can say, Grant will be over there at this altitude and over there at that altitude, and landing in this direction.
  14. The debate about reserves is as old as jumping. Here's what I wrote in another forum about the same debate. As far as tempo's and PD's go, like I said earlier, I have landed both and I like the PD's better. Look at this thread even... Look how many people are talking about tempo's stalling, having a built in turn, and what not. You really don't hear about to many PD Reservse blowing up like Ravens do. You don't hear about to many PD-R's stalling on landing. You don't hear about to many PD-R's requiring a grip of toggle input to just fly straight. All of these traits are UN-ACCEPTABLE! A reserve should fly straight, and not stall above your shoulders. If you had a main that stalled with your toggle inputs above your shoulders, would you land it? If you had a main that had a built in turn that required more than 50% toggle input to keep it flying straight, would you land it? I wouldn't land either of those, so, is it to much to ask of canopy manufactures to build a product that fly's correctly? The people out there that continue to purchase these inferrior products are condoning this practice of manufactures making & selling shitty products, just to make a buck. All in all it's your life, and what you wear on your back is your choice, and I really don't care if you live or die, but I have made the choice to jump with quality products. In this sport you get what you pay for, so if you'r looking to save a few buck's then your going to pay for it elsewhere. Remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
  15. The extra weight I carry is in my onoin. The onion being my ASS, because it's so beautiful it makes you cry! hahaahahaaaaaa For the Colorado CPC I wore 16lbs for the speed round. It brought my wing loading up to 2.35 on a velo 103. The next closest competitor was .5 seconds slower. I thought I needed the weight as many of the other competitors had smaller canopys. I didn't really bother trying to run it out though as there were no penalties for sliding in after you cleared the course.
  16. Do you have a line on someone who makes the Deja Blue weight belts?
  17. How about enough weight built into the cutaway pillow, that it will overcome the velcro forces at a certain g loading. It should be a simple math equation.
  18. When jumping up in colorado, your canopy will act a size smaller. That's about the easiest way to explain it.
  19. In-N- Out!!!! Your a communist if you go to So Cal, and you don't go to In-N-Out.
  20. I just call it like I see it. The same could be said about you in the FOLLOW THE RULES PEOPLE thread.
  21. Of all the states I have visited, I think Florida is about the worst. It's as if some one came across a swamp and said "Hey let's make a State out of it". You can never get any anywhere very fast because of all the old people driving around, and they are a danger to humanity by driving 35MPH on the freeway! Also it's hot and HUMID there. Humidity SUCKS, so as far as I'm concerned, you can have Florida with it's old people, mosquitoes, and humidity.
  22. When using water to cool things you need to have a relativly dry enviroment for it to be effective. A swamp cooler type of mechanism doesn't work very well in Houston or Florida if you know what I mean. Also using the water could help to thicken the air up a little, as the field elevation of this tunnel will be 5,000+ feet. I think the main reason for the recirculating design is to keep the heat in the air. This will be huge, as it it still very FUCKING COLD here right now. You lowland florida types don't get to much snow, so you become sissyfied, and spoiled with your year round jumping. OK enough ranting and raging.
  23. The intent of the program is not to make worldclass skydivers out of these cadets. It's "Character Development". Even if they get booted out of the program with only one jump we asked them if they learned something about themselves. 99.9% say yes, and that's what the program was about.
