  1. Ww! We're still discussing this
  2. More like 3:1 on a sport canopy. But if you're some hot shot swooper like Andy Farrington, it'd be more like 12:1 but you'd have to be going around 75mph Back tot the PARIS system: Who makes these?
  3. While browsing Para-Gear, I happened on this PARIS style canopy. At first glance I thought it was a paraglider. Upon reading, it seems that you deploy it like a skydive canopy. This is really because I've been told (by paraglider pilots) that paragliding canopies could blow should you deploy it in freefall. But this PARIS canopy looks like the marriage between skydiving and paragliding. No more having to worry about long spots, and for swooping...
  4. Jump on what? BTW, here are a couple of old photos of your's truly

  7. Hey Kimmy. Check out Krys Dauchy. Back then I thought she was so hot when I pour a bucket of ice water on her, it'd turn to steam before it even touches her.

  12. 14 years since I gradumacted high school. Don't remind me I remember wearing when a clean shirt, tie, jeans, sneaker were cool. And let's admit that we've owned a piece of neon clothing article thought we won't be caught dead wearing one in public these days. edit: wait a second... the suit I was wearing in my avatar (belongs to Kapowsin Airsports I swear) as neaon pink grips
  13. Dude! You gotta see this
  14. Depends... Right now, reminiscing the old days of bmx freestyle
  15. You're not related to Mike Dominguez now are you Mr. Nick Dominguez edit: BTW, does he still have that slant nose Porche ###?
  16. As in PK Ripper? The one and only all-aluminium freestyle bike that could take a beating? That is one very awesome bike. And look: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=PK+%2B+ripper You might just be able to buy one back. edit: And look! My old bike
  17. Remember this? edit: Speaking of old school... Twenty sure fire ways to tell if you're "old school" or not: You know you're "old school" if: 20. You ever rode a bike with a "frame stander" built around the seat post tube 19. You remember when "knee saver" bars first came out 18. You ever wore leather Haro racing pants to freestyle in 17. You ever wore a pair of suede Vision Street Wear high tops 16. You know who "Andy" & "Lew" are 15. Your tires ever left any "bare feet" tracks in the dirt 14. You ever rode ACS Z-rims 13. You remember when Mat Hoffman was sponsored by Skyway 12. You remember Spike Jonze the freestyler, before Spike Jonze the director 11. You ever used an ACS "Rotor" 10. You know what "AFA" stands for 9. You were ever a member of "Club Home Boy" 8. You ever rode a "day-glow" pink bike 7. You ever ran fork standers or frame standers on your bike 6. You ever hung Eddie Fiola posters on your wall 5. You remember the BMX Action Trick Team 4. You ever bought a bike that had built in pegs 3. You ever ran a number plate on your bars, but didn't race 2. You ever rode a set of Skyway Tuff II wheels 1. You ever wanted to grow up to be Cru Jones - RAD!
  18. And who did you like better on the ramps? Matt Hoffman, Josh White, or Mike Dominguez
  19. Aaahh yes... Dropouts And most certainly the welding too. Their a lot thicker around the joints that take the most stress like the top tube. I remember cracking the top tube of my PFT while attempting to learn a "wall ride" - right when "street" was introduced. I even had a Bully (made by RL Osborne after he left Redline to start his own co). It had a bash guard complete with the replaceable nylon grind plate thingy below the chainwheel. edit: I think Matt Hoffman has his own bike co too if I'm not mistaken
  20. I had a GT Pro Freestyle Tour. A neon pink one too. And if you guessed Martin Aparijo as one of my favorite riders... Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Though my all time favorite was Ron Wilkerson who now I guess owns 2-Hip bikes. Back to the Pro Freestyle Tour. As much as it's 100% 4130 chromoly, the metal is soft. Especially where the hub nuts go, you could squeaz the plates a new shape.
  21. And look what I found that's got your name all over...
  22. And look what I found. I had one of these This thread is strting to make me want to spend my tax refund on a freestyle bike
  23. Aaahhh... Like Matt Hoffman - winning all the contests on a Skyway TA
