Tesla has not reported a profit in its 10 years because of the massive growth it has undergone. I don't think tesla owners really need to take the subsudies, nor were the subsidies designed for them. But entitlement is entitlement and why wouldn't you take it. These entitlements are much like Tesla giving its early adopters free supercharger use for the lifetime of the vehicle. It is an incentive and a reward for being early adopters. It is safe to say Tesla is not going anywhere now, did not intend on reporting profits and paying corporate tax in its first decade and will be very profitable with a good market share all thing considered within another decade. Now compare that to the ROI on a coal/nuclear/gas powered plant in the current climate. Comparing the profits and tax obligations of well established fossil fuel industry leaders and newly established markets such as solar and EV's is patently stupid.

Poll, how do you feel about Trump's entry ban on select nationals
Royreader8812 replied to gowlerk's topic in Speakers Corner
The liar part I don't get, he has stuck to his word no? Don't get me wrong, I think it is all about rash, but no as much as storming another country and killing the civilians there. This part of foreign policy I am watching in interest. If he pulls out of wars abroad and enhances security at home.... good move. If he enhances war abroad and ruins domestic access... then that would be stupid. What we are seeing is change, and that is a promise Obama failed to deliver. At least Trump is delivering his promised, like them or not. -
Now that Nuland is out of a Job, maybe she can open a bakery in Maidan Nezalezhnosti. So next time Soros wants to fund a revolution there, she can nourish the 'moderate rebels'. This way Hunter Biden can readily access the Donbass with his newly acquired energy company. Oh that's right, the Ukrainians are already dying to let them take it, because they are stupid idiots like most people in the world and can't see the forest through all the trees. Because Rebels over throwing a government we don't like, with our money, are moderate. And those defending their homes from our mortars are the bad guys...

It is peculiar that those that call right wingers violent, are kicking up.more if a stink and talking more violently than anybody. Goldman Sachs and Starbucks give Hillary millions of dollars, and when Hillary loses they smack in Goldman Sachs and Starbucks Windows. These extreme left are loonies.

Great, maybe they might hire some people that actually do something other than citing the media as sources. I watch the briefings regularly and they really do not seem to do anything other than watch the news and talk about the Secretary's travel plans.

How much to set up, well that depends on how you go about it. You can get solar city to install the solar panels for free, but then you still have to buy the power that comes from them, which will save you money. But the better long term plan is to install them yourself get a couple of power wall 2's and you ROI should not be too far away if you can afford a plug in electric car as well. No power bill and no gas bill. It is still relatively expensive in the short term but no so much in the long term. https://www.tesla.com/powerwall Consider this, right now there are something like 150 solar panels being installed every minute in the USA. These panels are typically guaranteed for 20-25 years. In just 5 years however, these will be obsolete in a retail sense, but still good for another 15-20+ years. The panels being produced in 5 years will be significantly better and less expensive than those being produced today. New house builds will have the solar panels installed as tiles such as the new solar city products that were released along with Powerwall 2. When you consider that the first Powerwall was only 6kWh and $3000 (no inverter) and just less than a year later the Powerwall 2 was 14kWh and $5500 with built in inverter taking the same amount of space... you see how fast this technology is going. Right this minute you might doubt it's worth, but in 5 years you will be stupid to not install this tech in a new build. Within 10 years (probably sooner) you will be stupid to buy a combustion engine vehicle for financial reasons. This whole energy storage thing has vehicle companies, electronics companies and of course major energy companies in a frenzy... Interesting times...

Big oil is short term. Solar is very rapidly becoming the most cost effective form of energy. Coal, oil, gas and nuclear are all going up in price. Solar is going down rapidly. As electric cars become mainstream and solar cells continue to fall in price a lot faster than what was predicted... We get a shift from oil that will affect our society much more than anyone is willing to acknowledge. Oil will always be, but from next year you can get a car for $35k that will drive you further than a tank of gas and be charged from the sun at your house overnight. Yes by the sun overnight via your captured energy in batteries, why then would you pay the same amount for a car that you have to waste time and money at a gas station? The shift to renewables is going to be massive because it is not about being a hippy or a geek anymore, it is about saving money. It is an American company driving this change faster too.

The Russians have Europe and Asia pretty well locked in. Hence the attempted regime change in Syria and failed attempt in Iraq. The Saudis and Qatar are itching to get a link to Europe... guess what two countries they need to get through, that historically oppose the wahabists,...

So you are full electric, good on you. I will be too in the not so distant future. But we all still use oil. In the future we may not need to, but that is a ways off. Bought off by Putin... Lol. I believe the only charges are exposing corruption through alleged hacking, of which to this date, no proof or logical evidence has been forthcoming. But let's not dwell on that in this topic. I am not really a Trump supporter, I am one of the many millions of people that simply prefer him to what was the status quo. I actually supported Bernie. We didn't see anyone marching in the street when the 'Russian hackers'/wikileaks exposed the DNC screwing Bernie out of the slot... did we? Talk about fucking with democracy! Trump says nothing about inhibiting modern energy technologies, he actually mentioned them in his speech. Oil is plentiful in north America and the game plan of keeping it stashed for the future, while forcing other oil rich nations to let us all use theirs at pennies on the dollar at gun point, is not right. Nor cheaper. It isn't better for the environment either. I am glad it's price has slumped and demand is down... The demand at least will continue to decline, as the model 3 Tesla rolls off the line next year and other vehicle companies struggle to compete with that. House batteries are becoming the new black in the auto industry... There is no stopping solar energy and the storage of it from out dating fossil fuels. The climate forecast charts do not account for this. Nor do they account for the massive reduction in vehicles on the road (electricity not) that come with automated systems and ride sharing. Heck there are two public share cars parked right out the front of the apartment I am staying in right now. So it Is time to stop making the Saudis so wealthy and let the USA use their oil. If you have solar panels and an electric car, you should understand the massive shift that is about to take place. So you should then understand how an America first energy policy should be beneficial to all... except the Saudis.
-
So the fuel in your Prius that comes from Saudi, is less damaging to the atmosphere than the fuel that is pumped via pipeline domestically...? I guess the oil tankers in the ocean never killed anything. Reducing the importation of oil and reducing the consumption of oil are two separate issues. In the meantime we all use oil. Let alone the propping up of oppressive wahabist regimes that don't allow women to drive, but paid 5% of Hillary's campaign... Shouldn't you be out in the streets wearing a pink tutu, waving the Saudi flag screaming Trump sux or something?
-
Sounds like they forgot about the part where the civilians being starved to death and schools and hospitals are being bombed... ... by US and allied weapons/'aid'. The Saudis are 'interfering' with the Yemenis government, just like we all are doing in Syria...And failing. Military intervention for the purpose of regime change is against international law... no?
-
Lol, so the fleets of brand new Toyota's being delivered to IS and the massive convoys of oil tankers heading over to Turkey were unnoticed by 'the coalition' for years... until Russia came along and stopped it. There are ample 'news' sites suggesting that Assad was bombing hospitals... meanwhile those same news sites give Saudi a free ride in Yemen... IS are done, Obama fed them, Russia destroyed them.
-
Just stop supplying them weapons, aid and training. And stop turning a blind eye to their stolen oil trade. Isis are done, they are no more than a proxy for the entities that want Syria overthrown. They are mercenaries, nothing less. You don't see the same fancy snuff videos or fleets of brand new Toyota pickups anymore... ever wonder why? It was all going so nicely, if it wasn't for those pesky Russians.

Meanwhile the butthurt losers are completely OK with the fact that Saudi Arabia and other gulf states, are bombing children in Yemen as we speak with Us and allied weapons, also starving the entire nation. While they are chummy with Clinton and donate many millions of $$ to her. Yet Trump is the racist bigot that hates women, posters that are visiting the UAE to go skydiving are bad and support totalitarian regimes and the DNC purposefully shafting Bernie is all OK. It is OK that she had a private server hosting classified information and lied about it, its is ok that all the findings in the wikileaks are all completely true, it's ok that they had no real security on this information... Just as long as a Democratic party candidate wins. Otherwise it is all Russia's fault. Now the drums if war over lies are in full swing and losers that want to be right, more than they want the truth, will be completely OK with going to war over lies... again. Pretty much full retard.

Mass Shooting - Ft Lauderdale Int'l Airport
Royreader8812 replied to wan2doit's topic in Speakers Corner
Not really, it is archived in many news stories, and was stated officially from the county sheriff. What it tells us, is that initial reports are not necessarily credible, no matter how trustworthy the source may seem. -

Precisely. https://mobile.twitter.com/AirCanada/status/817484691783684097 -
Quoting straight from that report: Lol...I'm grabbing some more popcorn. This world is full of gullible idiots, which this report is designed for. Them thinking they can take hackers on with this incompetence is Hillary'ous... Not that there was necessarily any hacking involved, just that hackers are geeks when it comes to methodology so many experts will analyze this and pick it to pieces. Read between the lines folks, this report puts the mock in Operation Mockingbird. Fortunately Russia is showing restraint, while the war hawks push for more profit.

GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity
Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
So many assumptions, no wonder people are gullible. Who needs proof when a conveniently scripted load of bullshit can be presented and everyone just believes it. I'm just going to.watch the coming weeks with pure interest. Williams have conveniently been pushed aside from this agenda. I think that is going to change, and writing or believing this grizzly steppe tripe will become very embarrassing. -

GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity
Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Lol, so you just have 'faith' that they are being truthful. What is the specific evidence. I will be interested to see how 'faithful' you guys will be in these institutions after the changing if the guard later this month. -
GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity
Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Huh, Give me the actual evidence (point to the particular content) that suggests I am silly believing this is nothing more than a distraction. The DHS was caught red handed trying to hack the Georgian state elections. You don't seem particularly concerned with that. 1, they were unable to do so without being caught. 2, they insisted they should oversee the process...Georgia was only one of two states to tell them no. And used private firms that not only stopped the DHS hacking, but caught them red handed. So. 3 What makes you think the DHS are so honest, so capable and are not trying to hide thsir own dishonesty? But firstly. YOU have to tell us all here, what exactly about this grizzly steppe paper or what in it, proves or even suggests that the Russian Government had anything to do with it? -
GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity
Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
I already said. There is no evidence presented that suggests the Russian Government was involved. That is my issue with it. If you contest this, then maybe you can point out the said evidence. -

Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
And (again) from William Binney Go read an analysis from an independent expert...if you're impartial. Otherwise just carry on and take it hook, line and sinker http://jerrygamblin.com/2016/12/30/grizzly-steppe-ip-and-hash-analysis/ http://www.robertmlee.org/critiques-of-the-dhsfbis-grizzly-steppe-report/ There are plenty of reports like these. At best this JAR can be described as confusing, inept and deceiving. But what else to expect from such entities... -
GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity
Royreader8812 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
The document itself is not really an issue. It is just a discussion document and it clearly states so at the beginning. There are no facts pointing to any wrong doings of the Russian government, and the document is worded in such a way that it should not be taken literally. It is all just opinion. Obama missed that part (well those that do the things he supposedly does while he plays golf and attends fancy dinners), and so did the hysterical media onslaught. That part was not an accident. What about it do you find so telling?
