For TI's - When a tandem student wont jump.....
JohnMitchell replied to shorehambeach's topic in Tandem Skydiving
Me too. I give the thumbs up "Are you ready to skydive?" I think we've all read a lot of students. I've only had one tandem refusal so far. -
I've seen a lot of women unable to flare the canopy properly due to poor upper body strength. I advise all women wanting to skydive to use proper technique and to do a little strength training.

Ours was 4 feet high into the pea gravel. Yep, it sure weeded out a few.

Adult Friend Finder.com Creeper Accounts

It's hard to be a good wingman when your flight leader keeps flying into the ground, . . -
Thanks, John. Sorry you didn't win this year after being a double (or was it triple?) winner two years ago.

Adult Friend Finder.com Creeper Accounts
JohnMitchell replied to LuckyMcSwervy's topic in The Bonfire
I don't know anything about internet dating. It was just being invented when I met my gal. But it sounds like "creeper" account ought to be called "creepy" account. -
Sweet! Ain't that cool? I'll get that mailed out to you this week, my dear. Thanks for getting some tickets at LP. We had a three winners from there.
-
Thanks Sweetie. It was sooo much fun.

Hey, maybe you need to make it up to Seattle for it all.

Steering won't lock while the car is moving and the key is inserted in my vehicles. Also cars have a vacuum reservoir to power the brakes for 3-4 applications after the engine shuts off. My cars are like my parachutes. I like to explore how they function before I really need it.

I KNEW you'd be the first responder. Sorry, Remi. You know I wish everyone could win.

Hi Everyone, The Leap for Lupus Boogie was amazing this year. Over 50 people competed under clear blue skies for great prizes in the 4 way scrambles competition. Many more people made countless fun jumps, tandems and AFF jumps through out the day. Saturday night we tapped the kegs and feasted on salmon and all the trimmings as the last sunset loads landed. Next we pulled the winning raffle tickets and then danced 'til midnight to the rock 'n roll music of RetroActive. A good time was had by all. To all the winners, Congratulations. To all whom Lady Luck did not smile upon this year, thank you so much for your contribution. It's a fantastic cause you're supporting and every penny of your raffle tickets will go straight to Lupus medical research. Remember me standing up that guy that weighed 260? I made $100 on that one skydive. Thanks for charging the fat fee.
-
At our DZ this rule applies: If you got the money, You weigh 220.
-
If you can learn to hover in the tunnel, then your level 3 should be a walk in the park. My son is a tunnel instructor and completed AFF in 5 jumps. Probably could have done it in 3 or 4 jumps.

I voted "titties" because my wife is a jumper. -
Why don't people skydive?
JohnMitchell replied to skydiverbry's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
People who don't skydive are that way because they can't handle it. It's too much adrenaline overload, too much stimulation in their lives. They can't live that much in the moment, to risk all for some fleeting pleasure beyond all others. They need their quiet, mundane existences, safe on the ground. That's just the way they are and there's no changing them. I certainly don't try. I just quietly feel sorry for them. I'm100% honest in what I'm saying above. -
yes, we'd like to see the other one too.

We live on a great bike trail. I'm out 4-5 times a week when the weather is good.
-
Nice bikes. I'm still riding a Schwinn. On the plus side, I can get a very tiring workout quickly, and that's what I'm after.
-
Cute little cuties. Those girls are sweet.

In a gymkhana. . . ....................................................................... I drive a 60-foot long bus through downtown Vancouver. Guess who drives the drunks home on Saturday nights? Guess who does not finish until 03:00 am. Sunday morning

I hate to say it but there's humans on this planet at the mercy of other humans that are that bad off and worse. Lots of cruelty to go around in this world, I'm sorely afraid.
