**You do not have to become a member of the USPA to skydive. But you do have to follow any DZ's guidelines when taking advantage of the "playground" they are providing you.** true, you don't not have to become a memeber of the uspa to skydive, BUT, if you want to procure a license(s) or be a coach, aff, tm whatever you must stay current with your uspa membership. every dropzone i've been to in the state of texas (except one) requires uspa membership. the dz in this case is in fact the only dz i've seen that checks your reserve currency, on which i commend them. you handled that the same way i would've. but never forget, try once, try twice, institute emergency procedures, i've heard of people spending too much time trying to clear this anomaly, it can sure burn up some altitude, plus it's a high speed partial malfunction. good job! the stand up comedian that does that song is Rodney Carrington, he's a funny guy! he used to open for Foxworthy, now he's on his own. but he did not originate the concept for the song, or the title. Frank Zappa did all that back in 1972 with the song called "titties and beer" i had the most fortunate opportunity to see Frank do this live at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas back about 1975, it was really funny! Especially considering Houston traffic.** Zenmeister: you got that right, when i used to jump at SDSL i'd come I-10 to the tollway, i'd be driving 100-110, and people still passing me up. top speed on tollway ever, 140 or so, it's rediculous, but it is the place to be if you like to drive fast, and not get caught, of course they have the cute little cameras everywhere now, but i've never been busted...YET.. i'd buy a 2002 chevrolet corvette with a 350 cid X 350 hp X 6 speed transmission with dual comfort zones, delco bose 12 cd changer, then chip it to obtain 465 hp with a "hypertech" chip, and a high performance o2 sensor, so i could obtain speeds of 180 mph+ for shits and giggles, then just chill, max and relax....Sych, i already own one! my eu4ic-5 is my baby! my 5th one during my collection years, i love the 6 speed, and the HUD, hook, tomorrow i'll let you drive it, you love the horses!
