not to go off on a different "tangent" here, but, God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. i thought i made it perfectly clear that people are going to do what theyre going to do, as long as it does not infringe on me, personally, i really don't care. we've got a couple of guys at our dz that are "living alternative lifestyles" they don't go around telling everybody about it, and we jump with them. no problem. a good friend of mine in high school was gay, and in Giddings, Texas this is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE, especially back in the 70's. things have lightned up considerably since then. when i go to work on my drilling rig, trust me, there's alway a couple of guys that are different, and we cannot, and do not treat them differently, but they do not go out of there way to make the whole rig aware of it either, and i don't go making everyone aware that i've got 4 children, and a granson either. whatever you do, here's wishing you the best...always! --Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"

Yoshi/Kevin: i've been lurking this posts, and kept my mouth shut until now. you've recieved some great advice, from some of the best (i know most of them, do you?) i told a very good friend of mine the same thing these experienced canopy pilots are telling you, he didn't listen. may he RIP. he hooked in low early this year. i once told him i'd be reading about him in the "fatalaties page" i still feel bad for that, because exactly what i told him, harrened. don't "be that guy" to one of your friends. listen to what these people are telling you. until you've buried 2 of your friends in 1 year beacause of this you wouln't know how i feel. Zennie is an aggressive canopy pilot, i've seen him fly, BUT he listens to advice from learned colleagues, if he wasn't listening, he'd more than likely be flying that VX-90 right now. regardless of what you've been told, jump number DO MEAN SHIT, really MEAN SHIT. whatever your decision, be careful, be safe, and take care. i generally jump without an altimeter, i just wait for my audible beeps, and watch for the first canopy to deploy, plus once you've seen the ground at 2500', it'll look the same everytime. SYCH! i'm guessing maybe 3 times in freefall, 2 times under canopy? i know this is not what i would coach any student, but i've noticed lately my reliance on my first couple of audible beeps, i just chastised myself for that this weekend during a conversation with an up jumper, and a low timer. "IF" terry murry did in fact jump through the clouds in which he "allegeally" jumped through, he is admitting committing an offense, (subject to fines and/or ratings suspension) as a "ratings holder" perhaps his rating should be reviewed by the U.S.P.A. or the F.A.A.
