    Yeah, that was the Easter Boogie in either 09 or 08 as I recall. The guy got shit faced, went for a dunk in the swoopin pond and then stood back to the fire to dry off..and fell backwards. The fire pit had recently been cleaned out (debris) and was deeper than usual. Wasn't easy to get out. Booze..gotta luv it. DOOG Muff 846 All you people are here to make sure I have a good time.

    Great idea to wait for the winter season. Spring is good but then again you can get trained in the winter and get current in the spring. Just an excuse to do another trip. Be careful at Skydive City though..It's got a lot of assholes hanging around, it's run by a Newfy and the guy at the bar promotes high alcohol consumption. Oh, and a lot of the regulars don't seem to take life very seriously at all. As a matter of fact that's the good stuff. DOOG Muff 846 All you people are here to make sure I have a good time.

    Hi.. I was in Germany in 88 at CFB Lahr. Heard there was a First Jump Course in CFB Baden on the weekend. Did two jumps on Sunday. Came back to Canada on Monday. Showed up at the local DZ the following Saturday. The rest is History. Have never even applied for a Military course (round parachute..at night..with 60 lbs of kit.. and a rifle..at 1200 ft? Not bloody likely DOOG Muff 846 All you people are here to make sure I have a good time.

    Hi Folks.. I got back tp the Great Wet North. Worst rain and fog I have ever driven through (12 states worth). I went to the web site at www.iwanvanderschoor.com to check on photos of the attempts. Nothing there. Anybody got any info?     G,day..and a great freakin day it is too! Hockey was good..but the overall golds were awesome. The most ever won by any nation in the winter games. 35 millions against the world.     G'day Jay.. I am from Atlantic Canada and I have made a shitload of trips to Florida over the last 15 years or so. I have never jumped out west yet but a gang from here have. They had an unusually cold week a couple of years ago in Arizona (froze their arses off). I agree with the idea of checking out both east and west DZs. One thing you must realize about Florida..there are a lot of turbine DZs within a very short drive. Z-Hills, Lake Wales, Sebastion, Titusville and DeLand are all with a few hours of each other. You can explore the whole skydiving experience in that one state. My 2 Cents Doog DOOG Muff 846 All you people are here to make sure I have a good time.

    Greetings Brit.. If you ever want to skydive again don't move to Newfoundland. Any part of it. Nice place. Great people. No DZs and never will be. Weather sucks. BC is great.     I met Frenchy during my first trip to Z_hills in '93. I later spent quite a bit of fireside time with him in Lake wales up until the hurricane. I will always remember one thing he told me after we sat watching a sunset load land off DZ.."the best way to have anything to do with a sunset load is to observe it from fire with a beer". I have made that my number two rule in skydiving (right after don't die!). I always liked to be done for the day, grab a couple of line violation or firsts beer from the happy face at Lake Wales and take one over to Frenchy as he lit the fire. There to watch the sunset load and listen to him fill me in on who pissed him off that day. I gotta get my non-digital photos of him scanned so I can share them.
