  1. Maybe now that I'm working on the Olympics, and may have involvement in future Olympic Games, maybe I can one day at least convince them to let demo jumpers jump into the Opening or Closing Cermemonies holding flags or something. It could happen. I know the producers of the Opening Ceremonies...so i have to try to get in on them for the Winter Games. -Crystal
  2. Sooo...sorry to hear! I loved the layout and the hangar at Lake Wales...wow...first Elsinore, now this. My best to all of you there. But Elsinore came out stronger and better after their destruction, so hopefully you guys will too! -Crystal
  3. Hey all of my cool friends across the world! Just wanted to share the fun news! As most of you know, I work in television and do a bunch of cool gigs every year, but this one tops the list for 2004. I got a last minute call last Thursday from a Production Coordinator (who I've worked w/in the past) asking me what my 'availability' was for ASAP until Aug 29th. I told her that I have to work on the US Open Kick off show on the 23rd, but UNTIL then, my shedule is open. So she said, OK, let me call you back in 15. I had no idea what the job was for. She calls back in an hour and says, "How would you like to go to the Olympics in Greece, we want to fly you out on Sunday, and you'll be back in 2 weeks on the 22nd." (We discussed rate and details for a minute...and, I was like...."Uhmm...OK, I'll go!") I am a last minute replacement for someone who had to cancel at the last minute. SO, Here I AM! At the basketball arena, coodinating the game rundowns with producers for all the interenational basketball games! Oh, and last night, our producer got all of us tickets to the Opening Ceremonies (a surprise!)...Face value for the seats we had were 950 Euros...(like $1000). Well, when I get back, I'll have to post some pics. Just wanted to share the news...and hey, post back and say "HI" if we haven't spoken in a while. I love keeping in touch w/everyone. Oh and I'm definitely going to Chicks Rock this year! (Have yet another job that is in LA that ends RIGHT before that weekend!....works out perfect!) -Crystal -Crystal
  4. GREAT SITE! Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for! It's almost perfect! Well, I can't wait till Sangiro puts up his solution too, bc if it has all the countries, THAT would be REALLY cool !!! -Crystal
  5. Or actually, in the above mentioned "map" with the #'s on it...it would go perfect on say the bottom of this page for every state or small country. (And the DZ's would just be numbered. http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/North_America/United_States/Michigan/index.html -Crystal
  6. I use the dropzones section a lot to find new places to jump. The hard part though is when I look up say "Michigan" and there are 11 dz's in that state. It would be very helpful to have either a "clickable" link to thier location on like a mapquest site on their main profile page. So I can see where in the state they are (and to see which dz is nearby where I'll be). Right now, what I have to do is pretty much hand type (or copy/paste) every address of EACH of the 11 dz's in a separate window on mapquest, to see which DZ is where. Another fix to this situation is maybe have a separate clicky link next to the name of the state that has a map of the state (or region) with a key like: 1-Central Michigan Skydivers 2-Skydive Tecumseh 3-Great Lakes Skydivers And on the map are little numbers so you can see where each DZ is. I think this would be really really helpful. Currently I'm having this issue with Argentina. I am hopefully planning a trip in the near future, and Argentina has 24 DZ's. I just want to SEE where each one IS relative to Buenos Aires, and basically, I have to click on each one and try to figure it out on my own...and I don't know if there is a "mapquest-like" site for Argentina. Thanks for listening. I hope my suggestion finds it's way on to Dropzone.com! -Crystal
  7. Hi...ok...so I was going to go to Skydive Chicago this weekend (July 23-25)...but I think this event looks like fun! And I can go to SDC another time. I can make it to SDC by Friday (anytime) but need someone to ride to Tecumseh with (it's a 4-5 hr ride. Or...would love to find people to ride with and we can take my rental. You can email me at crystalsanchez at aol dot com. -Crystal

I hope to stop by Emporia Brava too! Ohhh ! I can't WAIT!!!! -Crystal
  11. Lolie! You should do it! And guess what...I know the Associate Producer! I worked w/her in February on a job! If you send in your info...tell them you know me! I actually recommended one of the Mullins brothers Zach, Rich or Joel because I think thier family would be cool...Mike owns the dz and plane and they have a great DZ. Anyway, Lolie, hope you're doing well! -Crystal
  12. Hi Melushell, Keep us posted. I'm going to be traveling Europe May 9-June 8 and visiting Spain for a week or so...I'm going to jump at Skydive Lillo, and if the DZ near Valencia is open, I'll be sure to check it out for a day! THANKS! Crystal crystalsanchez@aol.com -Crystal
  13. Can't wait to visit! Sounds beautiful! -Crystal
  14. Wow! I would have never thought I'd find such a great dropzone in the middle of Tennesse! I didn' t realize that Mike Mullin's King air was based here! They have a big beautiful grassy landing area, a big pool (to compete w/the one in Perris), showers, and even though they don't have a real bunkhouse...on the 2nd floor of the hanger above the packing area there's a great room with couches, extra blankets, a refigerator & toaster oven, to crash on if you're coming alone and unprepared Iike I was. Also, you board the Super King Air INSIDE the hanger in the shade! You get up to 1000ft in like 15 seconds, no joke! AND, if you're lucky, you'll get to jump with Zachary...Mike's 13 year old son who - as to date has almost 500 jumps! How fun! Great big indoor packing area, And really experienced skydivers. See?...being from New York...I thought I was going to arrive at some little po-dunk dropzone...BOY was I wrong. This place rocks! Wish the Ranch had facilities like this.
  15. I'd like to see pictures of the mass 672 person jump when everyone was landing. Anyone have photos or know where I can see them? -Crystal
  16. That's Jackie O'Bryan from Elsinore...(she was one Women's USA team this year)...Nadine Chang from the Ranch, me, and Rachana Bhatia from the ranch! And a pic of us in the sky! http://www.crystalsanchez.com/Chicks-Rock-Boogie/aae -Crystal
  17. Hey, if you missed it the first time...tonight (Saturday night)...they are re-airing the BET Source Hip Hop Awards from 8-10pm on BET! (EST and PST). I was the Associate Producer for the show! Hey, if anyone has capabilites of "freeze-framing" and capturing an image from the TV. I would LOVE a still shot of my name in the credits as Associate Producer. Anyway, hope some of you guys see it! Let me know! The orginal link about this! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=760626;#760626 -Crystal

  21. Thanks everyone! I had a really fun time at the viewing party last night! My brother came and it was nice sharing the moment with him and my friends from the job! Hey, I think I might be going to Z-hills or Deland for Thanksgiving weekend...it's so chilly up here! -Crystal
  22. Hey all of my jumper friends around the country... Just wanted to share with all of you... Tonight from 8-10pm EST/PST "The Source Hip Hop Awards" will be on BET. I was the Associate Producer for this show so my name will be in the credits at the end. I really put in a lot of work on this show shooting in Miami and then Post Production in LA...and am very proud of the fact that I was a big part of the show's success...anyway, my name will be in the credits just before 10' o'clock. And if you have the TV on tonight, check it out! I was also the Post Production Supervisor, so my name will be up twice! Anyway, this is just really exciting for me as it is my first on-air Producer credit! I might sound corny for saying this, but I'm very proud of myself for getting this far in my career at my age (26). I've worked really hard to get to where I am right now. And have been very fortunate to have been given the opportunities I've gotten. I hope this won't be the last...well, actually, I will try my hardest to make sure that this will just be the first of many more exciting things to come. Thanks for listening... Love, Crystal -Crystal
  23. WOW...John!!! Who took these pictures of you taking pictures of me in the air?? Were those from Grouper's camera?! I never saw them. Nor did I ever see this POST!! This is great! Your scans of the pics are better than mine on my website! You did a great job with the pics and every single one of my friends, family and co-workers ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Christmas card! Infact, as I told you...some of them STILL have the picture up! Ok see you at the DZ!!! -Crystal
  24. I was planning on going but I'll be working on the 'Source Awards' for BET now in Miami. Can't complain though, it will be fun...but I'll miss you ALL!!! The other good thing about this though is that I'll finish on Oct 14th in Miami and Nationals start on the 17th in Lake Wales, FL...so if I don't have another gig right after that one...I'm going to extend my ticket back to NY and stay in Florida for a week and have fun at Nationals! Yay! Have fun in Elsinore...it was SUCH a good boogie last year! Chicks Rock! I really am bummed I'll miss it! -Crystal
  25. We've moved the date for any of you who might have been planning to come up here for this! -------------------------------------------------- The Ranch is livin' up to it's reputation! We're organizing a Lingerie dive...actually a whole lingerie LOAD! So if you're in the New York area, come join us next weekend!!! Haven't been to the ranch ever or in a while? This is your excuse! And if we have enough people...we'll do more than one load! We've got plenty of sky chickies signed up already and would love more from other dropzones! Anyone else in on dz.com?!! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=633521;search_string=search_string;#633521 http://ranchskydive.com/forum_toc.htm -Crystal
