Better get that checked. Xmas Boogie at Eloy, first jump of the trip. "Boy that ground is coming ffast, "Shit" I have run out of grass here comes the little tress, bang, roll ouch." Sound familiar? Got up walked off, went to hosp diag. sprain. Here I am three weeks out from injury still in brace and ski boot on crutches (well I am supposed to be). Phy. therapy starts Wed. There is so much to do and luckily. NYC is open 24 hours a day. I live in NJ so ignore all those bashing Jersey Jokes. Stay awake all 24 hours, circle line might be alittle cold next month but a good idea. My kids go to NY to the Museums every two weeks. Eating, Cafe 1,2,3 is by Broadway definately try to see a show. Go to Times Square and go to TKTS that's where they sell tickets off price for that nights performance. If you can get to RENT try. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. PS Sky's the Limit is Open in winter maybe a day of jumping in Jersey Winter. Only 50 miles from NYC. Perhaps we can get a group together. Stay in touch. You go girl... I have two frinds there, they are coming back on Friday, Rich and Natalie, also close frinds from my home DZ work there this winter, Willie T (our video guru at jersey shore) Jonathan, Tandem Instructor and great guy, Dave was one of my instructors up here last summer. In the state of New Jersey it is an "Employ at will State", which means they can hire you and fire you at will, as long as they don't deny you unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, the max you can collect is less then I was making. I have two children 6 and 3 1/2. Can you believe I told them on last Friday I was on crutches and in a ski Boot and they let me drive there this morning PS it is my right foot that is hurt, hop in on crutches and fire me 5 minutes later. They said not due to my injury, but I don't believe them. I negotiated this week off when I got this job since Eloy was planned for months, then when I got hurt I couldn't go back on Jan 3 like I was supposed to, I went back today. Sat down, got called in office and fired. So here I sit unemployed, middle of winter can't work, can't jump, two kids can't turn on beer light too early. Hey this is Blue, I saw my frriend Big Top in a slide show of pictures from Eloy. ( he was the one blowing fire at the bon fire. Now I can;t find it. Any help? I was also at Eloy, unfortunately also its first casualty. First jump 8:30AM Friday Dec 27 didn't jump Thursday too tired. Bad landing, off to the hospital. The beer light came on early for me and looks like it will be on for a while. Anyway many new friends made at Eloy, many from DZ.com. Thanks to all who carried my beer, held a door and said hang in there. I would still rather spend 8 days at a Boogie watching others fly on my crutches then have went homme to like my wounds. I am still waiting, Hey guys it's Blue. Just got the latest report from Ortho Doc. 2 weeks minimum skyboot cast with crutches, then either surgery or rehap. Hope to be jumping by spring.
