  1. Consider that most of us are weak, very weak, individually. If somone were to try to mug me, I'd let them have whatever possession they wanted. Wendy W. But Wendy That is why we have police / armys. Should not they kick down the door of a murder/ rapiest even if it is his innocent mother,s home where he is hiding. If a punk grabs your purse, and i am with you, Would you want me to act, or say Oh its not my purse? I believe France chooses to be weak, they are not. 2. [Hitler declared war on the US, not the other way around. Have they given up teaching history here? Oh, Saddam has not tried to assassinate our president or declared our destruction??? You are right about no history Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  3. He is arrested at gunpoint, handcuffed and taken to a secure room, where he is questioned. That really sucks. Huumm: in iraqi they just touture him and murder his family on similar suspicions Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  4. And why is'nt Iraq afforded that same right. to protect their interests. History 1992: saddam lost that right after invading 2 of his neighbors, firing missiles at 5 of his neighbors, killing thousands of innocent people, gassing, tourturing, murdering 100's of his own people, causing the largest manmade ecological disaster in our lifeime. He lost he war he started:The Gulf Coalition pulled out after he surrendered and promised to destroy all his weapons of mass destruction. Please tell me more French jokes Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...

  6. If not you can thank my ancestor. I don't want to run into a infantile debate, just try to understand and look around you. Do not think US is the center of the world and that every body should follow them with they eyes closed. I to am from British ( if you go far enough back) and Irish decent. i also bi*ch about US policy. Although I would like to see some intelligent comments on my point #3) Why do you hate the Iraqi people so much? What if the US just fought Japan, and decided to debate Hitler in an anti US setting like the UN Securities Council? Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  7. Ooo! that one left a mark. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  8. Germanies army's were close to unstopable... It's not just France not supporting the war and the U.S. It's a majority of the world against U.S. policies and the war. ignorant... This was too much! There is a coalition of 90 countries supporting US policies, (against Saddam) you chose to hear the ones that oppose. 2) Do you speak German? If not you can thank my Grandfather and Uncle. 3) Why do you hate the Iraqi people so much? What if the US just fought Japan, and decided to debate Hitler in an anti US setting like the UN Securities Council do some more reading before you call other ignorant Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  9. Humm last time I was in a nuclear explosion, Oh never mind we were just trying to launch a 16-way chunk. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  10. While they were gone, we could go over there, take over the place, use $5 billion on a toga party, trash the place, t.p. Sadams presidential palace, load up the WMD, and come home. I'm sure the plan has flaws, but at first glance, I think it's a money saver. The only real flaw I see is getting you promoted to 4 star general in time to pull it off. Hey I am in, if you think Saddam has a big beer / wine stash at his palaces. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  11. Jumps suits can get expensive fast. If your used suit is in need of a lot of mods maybe a good new custom one would be best in the long run. Of course it is a matter of $$$. my first jump suit was a set of coveralls from sears. I seem to buy a new rw suit every other year, and wear them untill they cannot be repaired any more. Email Jim Srtaight jts@teleport.com ,he is local to you. Which is nice because it seems that no matter who measures you it always needs mods. 12. Duhh why do you think the French & Grermans don't want the World to dig into Saddams nether workd of weapons of mass destruction?? Some body has been selling him the precursers and the technology, despite the embargo! Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  13. I do believe it would be -prudent- to continue to hold the formation for at least three seconds though Maybe the change is so that there can be a 2 point 333 way record. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  14. I have a hard enough time acting coherent with out made up holidays. Sh*t we did my girlfriends 500th jump sunday. I should have figured out a way to put that off untill next weekend, then told her that was her Valentines present. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  15. QuoteYeah, yeah, yeah, but where do the players go from there? Do they get picked to represent the U.S. in international competition? To me it's all too messy. Hey Paul: I was surfing some old posts. The USPA puts on ONE rw meet a year. and they are rained out ever 3rd or so year. The Nsl is organizing 4-6 meets in 20 or so regions. Not every one is sponsored or can afford to travel internationaly or even to the other side of the country to do some meets. WIth the NSL meet draw friday night it seems like you are competing with the other teams across the country. Much fun. 16. Mario: where i do not believe we have ever met in person, I feel as though i know you. I have used your web site as a reference for quite some time. Good luck in you new ventures, i hope our paths cross. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  17. Hey Stu: I am going to have a camp for people that are looking for teams May 17-18 @ Skydive Oregon. Kurt Peterson should be back in the NW this summer and plans to coach / organize some teams at Eugene Skydives. If you just start telling people you want to do 4-way it will happen. The NW meet schedule will be posted on Skyleague.com in the very near future. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  18. Yeah if you could slide slide, you would not get thrown from the formation because you would slide back before you went away. try what Weid14 said. This technique is easy. but dont forget to use some of the opposite motion to stop, or you will be flung the other way. Good drill: from a 4-way star, drop grips. two lay base, other two, clones, side slide to a unipod looking piture., stop then slide the other way to another unipod picture, stop back to star. do not lead with head make knees stay in line. then other two do drill. 19. If Hussein does have WMD I am quite sure our front line will be the first target. Jim Well if he does not have them. All he had to do in the past 12 years is show the UN inspectors that they destroyed the 300,000 gas/chem/bio shells and the 100 tons of gas/ chem/bio that he had at the pull out of the gulf war. If he has them It is safe to assume he plans to use them Again. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...

  22. How do you go to your next formation? Do you just make it up, or is there a set way? Are you referring to a continuity plan? that is we usually build a specific formation the same way each time we do that particular point. ie if we are doing cat-cat the same person is on the front, each time. same on tail. same two in the center. this is much easier to do with an intermediate team. 23. well we try, realistically only about 12-16 fit on our pad. But creeping ups your level of play. Often brain lock is a function of overload. So the more things that are familiar, (ie sight pictures, transitions), the easier it is to stay ahead of the power curve. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  24. there is more to flying than 4way I suppose so. ANd when i LO i still try for A slots. I try to ask people to go to the slot they want and then build the next few jumps based on the preceding skydive. I still dirt dive and creep (Yes 20 way) untill i see the light come on in everyones eyes. Of course this pisses off those that hate dirt diving. 25. All good advice: 1) do your home work, know your A slots and use that continuity plan. (10 minutes before a skydive is not the time to learn a photon.) 2)Do a proper dirt dive. puzzle, angles, grips, keys, pauses, at speed. 3) don't get distracted in the plane. visualize. 4) Relax in the skydive. The Key person should know that everyone is ready to go, not just that a grip is complete. 5) Attend an Airspeed skills camp. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
