you are correct. that was an assumption and I agree that I could be 100%wrong. you really need someone you trust when it comes to your car. at the dealer, or elswaere. seriously, if you walk in with the thought that your going to get ripped off, your not even going to hear what they have to say. I am not a customer service rep. I am a tech, things are black and white to me. I have trouble comunicating the problems. that is why I have sales people. do I like them? no, I hate them more than you, I have to work with those fuckers EVERY DAY!!!!... ask to speak with a tech, build a reputation with them and that will take you a LONG way. use them each time, and talk with them each time. small talk for a breif moment will get you alot. I hope this is good advice, and quit being pissed off that your a girl....

But.... um. didn't you say at first that it was because I didn't get my tires aligned that the tires are bad and that was making the noise.... and now you're saying that the bearings (which again you're saying is all my fault) is why the tires are bad. This is all so confusing for us women. I'm going to go and cook now. -Few things piss me off more than a sexist attitude. - and although you MIGHT not have meant to come off as sexist. After dealing with them here and then hearing you defend their action and further telling me to "just think about it"... well thinking about it isn't helpin. hey, I am not going to argue with you, but the fact remains that your pissed at your dealer. it is my opinion your pissed at them for the way they handled the situation, this is because you EXPECT it to be free. the most probable cause of your whols situation is this. FACT. tire noise is VERY similar to a bering noise. FACT. you had a bad wheel bering. most probable cause of the bad wheel bering is hitting a curb or pothole. FACT, hitting a curb or pothole can cause your allignment to go out AND cause wear on your tires that sound EXACTLY like a wheel bering. FACT, part of diagnosing a wheel bering noise "when the bering isnt physicly loose" is getting rid of the tire noise, then re driving to find the bering noise. FACT, 1 degree of allignment being out "the toe" part of the allignment. the amout of tire werar that comes from this is equal to "every 20 miles you drive, is like dragging your tire sidways for 1 mile.". FACT, your pissed off because your a girl. seriously, I do not see anything wrong with what they did. I do hoever see a problem with the way they handled you. sometimes it is very very dificult to handle a pissed of women who brings her car to the dealer. seriously. relax, and make sure you find a good tech at the dealer that you can comunicate with. the comunication is what is lacking, and your lack of understanding the facts and how things happen with cars pissed you off, and your dealer SHOULD have addressed this in the way they explained things to you. one more fact for you. when you hit a pothole or curb, it usually takes 1-3 months for the bering to start to make noise, by this time you already have severe tire wear due to the allignment being out. seriously, before you ever have work done on your car I will counsult with you what is going on so you understand. all you have to do is PM me.. if it is serious, I will give you my number and I will help explain things for you.. later...

It was actually the bearings ... which has nothing to do with the fact that I was 2.5k miles behind on my tire rotation. IF he had done his job before calling me and trying to get me to buy new tires for a new(ish) car. He was just trying to get me to spend money instead of fix the actual problem. Had to get the husband to talk to the dealer to get them to actually figure out where the noise was. Edit to add: To me it was just a lazy dealership trying to make money instead of honoring the warranty that comes with the vehicle. Just my opinion which obviously means nothing to you. nor, I'm guessing do the opinions of your customers. i still think your blaming the dealer when you sholdnt. if your wheel berings are bad at 25000 miles, that means you hit something. which in turn means your allignment is out. all in all, how is this the dealers fault? p.s. i have ben doing this a long time. wheel berings just don't "go bad" at 25k. your tire problom is a result of the berings, which is a result of you. I could be wrong, my opinion means nothing. just think about it. have a good night!

I am sorry, but I do not see anything wrong with what they told you. why do you rthink they are ripping you off. if you brought a car to me with 25000 miles on it and you only rotated the tires 2 times, I am sure I owuld see failry worn out tires also. what did you not understand? did you look at the tires yourself? this is the biggest ptoblem I see, people get mad when I tell them what is wrong with thair car when they are the one not maintaining it. and Ya I work at a dealer. your noise is likely feathering or cupping in your tires due to lack of tire rotation. "maintnance." I fail to see how they are ripping you off. to me it looks as if you failed to maintain it and your blaming the dealer. just my honest opinion that really means nothing.

I work in a dealership as a technician, not in sales. I have customers all the time tell me my diagnisis is not going to fix the car BECAUSE it is too expensive. I have also been told I was lying to them and trying to rip them off. I just walk away and never help them again. I do not have time for shit like that. I am an honest tech at a dealer, and I make good money doing it, if i did not make good money I would find another job and yopu "the customer" would have some lame ass tech working on your car. more than likely that is what is happening. you have a lame tech, "paper" technician I call them. and they do not know how to diagnose cars. it is sad really. i work with 30 techs. 4 of us are actually techs. there are 15 master techs. the master tech status came because they took a test. ASE. they cant or are to lazy to diagnose a car. you really need to find you a good tech. each dealer has 1-4 of them, if they didnt, they would go under. they cant hire any more than that, because they can't afford it.

if you get sued over this, it will be two years before that happens. if you call your insurance company then, they are going to ask "why didnt you report this 2 years ago? I know this from first hand experiance. I had to hire another lawyer on my own to go after my insurance to get them to cover it... just report it. it is thair money anyways. they will protect it as best they can, even if that means screwing thair own cliant. p.s.... will someone fucking fix the damn SPELL CHECK!!!!!
