Mike is a great pilot... We all know this already. I've known him for years and he has ALWAYS been good to me and my friends. I love jumping with him and his family. His wife and son visited me in the hospital in Rantoul, and Mike called me to see how I was doing (he had to take off to fly somewhere or he would have visited in person). I personally would choose to jump with him over anyone else not becuase his plane is the fastest, but because I respect him, he and his family is generous and he has gone out of his way for me. Yeah!!!! cool! (lew jumps up and down ) Mama, I've done that presentation. It's fun. Talk about keeping kids attention, it's SOO easy when you're talking about skydiving. I came decked in all my gear, jumpsuit, rig, altimeter, googles, camera helmet, brought my skysurf board, etc... I explained the gear. I had a powerpoint presentation, that had a little school related info on it, and I showed a few video segments. It was a blast. the kids jaws were wide open the entire time. DEFINATELY BRING VIDEO. Oh yeah, and the best part, I played Oakenfold while showing the video... it was so great. at least you asked before you were a poser... i don't care who wears one, but it does take away from the symbol when someone with one tandem wears one and doesn't even know what function it has in the gear system... that being said, i've met people at clubs that I otherwise wouldn't have talked to becuase they had a pin necklace on. and it's a good conversation starter. but i haven't worn mine in a while, the crutches took care of that part for a while :) i also have made around 100 and sold many pin necklaces in the hemp version. beads are easy. hemp is time consuming so if you get a hemp necklace, know that someone's fingers probably worked a good hour+ on weaving that necklace for you. i sold a bunch at WFFC and have the rest in the gear store at elsinore. i've also mailed one to several people. Hey Gimp or Mal, take a photo of yours and post it. i've never had anyone say one of mine broke or fell off, and they all wear them jumping, some 24/7/365. i personally don't like fancy jewelry, so i don't like single helix stuff or anything with a fake pin. i don't really wear jewelry so wearing a pin necklace is for the symbol of skydiving to me, and only seems appropriate to wear a real pin. that's just my opinion. I do like Pammi's stuff, and i appreciate the work that goes into them. I also like Betsy's preyor pin necklace, but don't like that she can't jump with it. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Oh yeah... that's a problem. i remember now, I bought my PC120 from Ultimate Electronics in Phoenix, after i dropped my Ebay-bought PC5 for the last time during the eloy boogie last year. B&H is definately a good way to go if you're determined to get it online. In my experience, it is best to buy from an actual store. I've bought camera equipment just about every way possible... Now if it's something substantial, I'll buy from Ritz Camera STORE, (not RitzCamera.com!). Reason is, if you have an issue, you go in and talk to someone, they can't hide and you don't wait for email responses or phone calls. Ritz offers an extra warranty that covers everything except theft and fire. I bought my 10D from a Ritz store, after doing a lot of research, and knowing i was spending more. But Ritz new I was taking the camera skydiving. I showed them my flattop and explained it all to the sales guy. If I drop it, all I have to do is bring the pieces back to the store (any of their stores) in a bag and they give me a new one. And considering how hard skydiving is on cameras, that warranty is worth it to me. Note, Ritz Camera stores are different from the online store. as stated on their website: that's my advice, go to the store, buy the warranty. don't worry about it if you bust it. http://www.exitshot.com

On Saturday Elsinore shut down early because of smoke and Santa Ana winds. Winds being the biggest reason, they were high teens, gusting in the 20's. Sunday was fine, a little windy but never shut down. The smoke didn't quite make it to the dz, it crept up close, withint 3 miles, then the winds retreated along with the smoke. Monday the planes were grounded for a while as an ATC was evacuated because of a fire, and lots of airports were grounded because the FAA had no one to look after them. Thanks Jason for replying. As he said, you'll be able to go to bridgeday.info to get it. It is not yet available for order directly online, but will be. If you want to order now, PM me and I will send you an order form and address. DVD availability is based on interest. Basically, it will cost somewhat more to get a DVD. How much depends on how many people are interested and order one. For example, it may cost around $1000 additional to encode and produce, so if 100 people want a DVD, that's an extra $10 each. If only 20 people want one, it could be $50 extra each, in which case, we might not do it. We have not determined the minimum needed yet. Again, that's just an example... We will post more updates as we figure it out. If you are seriously interested in the DVD, and have not already specified on an order form we collected at the event, please PM me or post your interest to this thread. Just to note, we've acquired some good river-rush footage from a 2-way low pull that went in the water. Cameras and video survived, and it is definately scary ground rush footage. Hey Zennie, since we filmed every exit and opening from at least 3 angles we've probably got it already. We were also the only video from the basket looking onto the bridge and the only video from the LZ getting exits with a big lense... no worries, i'm sure your jump will be on there...
